England can move one step closer to World Cup qualification this week when they host Albania at Wembley Stadium. Here at betting.bet we'll preview the Three Lions' crucial qualifier, offering you all the latest betting tips, team news and match odds courtesy of our betting partners at BoyleSports.

Gareth Southgate's side hold a three-point advantage over Poland at the top of Group I with just two games to play. With a trip to San Marino to come on Monday, a draw at home to is likely to be enough to secure England's spot in next summer's tournament. However, in what will be their last competitive international at Wembley Stadium for some time, England will want to sign off with a win on Friday evening.

England Team News

Emile Smith Rowe has earned a first England call up following the withdrawals of Marcus Rashford and James Ward-Prowse. Mason Mount and Luke Shaw are yet to join up with the squad due to dental surgery and a concussion protocol respectively but both will be in contention for Friday's game.

Betting Tips

England have scored 24 goals in their eight qualification games so far. Gareth Southgate's free-scoring Three Lions make the 6/10 on offer for over 2.5 match goals look real good value.

Meanwhile, 14 of England's 24 goals so far in Group I have been scored in the second half. BoyleSports are offering 20/21 on there being more goals in the second half on Friday evening and that may well be the best bet of the evening.

With just three goals conceded in qualification so far, an England clean sheet is a safe bet. The 4/9 on offer for England to win to nil is extremely back-able.

Goal Scorer Markets

Neither Harry Kane or Raheem Sterling have been anywhere near their best this season but they retain the trust of Gareth Southgate. Both players are likely to start at Wembley on Friday and will be popular in the first and any time scorer markets.

Kane has only found the net twice for Spurs in the Premier League this season but the England captain has three in his last four internationals. With England's talented pool of creative players, Kane will get plenty of opportunities to add to his 41 England goals. If Kane is anywhere near his best on Friday evening he will make light work of the 1/2 on offer for him to score at any time. Kane supporters may prefer to look at backing him to score two or more at 9/4.

Harry Kane has scored first in three qualification games already, at 15/8 he is excellent value to score first against Albania.

Incredibly, Raheem Sterling has not scored for England since netting the opener in their Euro 2020 last-16 win over Germany. At odds of just 11/10 to score at any time, there has to be better value elsewhere. That value could come in the shape of his Manchester City teammate, Phil Foden.

Foden has completed 90 minutes in five consecutive Premier League games as he's firmly established himself in Pep Guardiola's first team. With three goals in those five league games, Foden has started adding goals to his game. The 20-year-old is worth consideration at 11/8 to score against Albania.

Match Odds

  • England: 1/8
  • Draw: 5/1
  • Albania: 25/1
