Saturday's early kick off in the Premier League will see two familiar foes go head-to-head as Everton and Aston Villa will face off for the 226th time. Here at betting.bet we'll deliver the best pre-match odds from our partners at Paddy Power as well as expert betting tips as we try and get your weekend off to the perfect start.

Everton vs Aston Villa: Head-to-head

As mentioned, Saturday will see Everton and Aston Villa meet for a 226th time. Incredibly a win for Everton would see them draw level on 83 all-time wins (60 draws).

However, Aston Villa are unbeaten in their last five meetings, including a 3-0 win when the sides met at Villa Park in September.

Betting Tips

We're expecting goals at Goodison Park on Saturday. Neither Everton or Aston Villa have been shy in front of goal recently but neither seem capable of keeping a clean sheet. Everton have not kept a clean sheet since their goalless draw with Spurs on November 7th whilst they have scored in every game throughout December and January.

Aston Villa's last clean sheet came at Norwich on December 14th whilst only Liverpool, Southampton and Chelsea have stopped them scoring in the league this season.

Both teams to score is incredible value at 4/5 whilst over 3.5 match goals is worth consideration at 13/5.

Philippe Coutinho made a barn-storming return to the Premier League weekend. The Brazilian came off the bench with his side 2-0 down at Manchester United with barely 20 minutes to go. One goal and one assist in a crazy four minute spell saw Villa claim a share of the spoils. That thrilling cameo is likely to earn Coutinho a place in the Aston Villa starting eleven and at 10/3 he is excellent value to score at any time.

For Everton, their hopes of halting their slide down the league table could rest on the shoulders of Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The England international is working his way back to full fitness after injury and will be the Toffees' main goal threat on Saturday. Calvert-Lewin scored in all three of Everton's matches in August but was then forced to sit out the rest of 2021. Calvert-Lewin was on target in this fixture last season and is our tip to open the scoring this weekend at 9/2.

Betting Odds

  • Everton: 7/4
  • Draw: 11/5
  • Aston Villa: 6/4
