Novak Djokovic remains on course to regain his Australian Open title as he prepares to take on third seed, Stefanos Tsitsipas in Sunday's final. Djokovic has won a record nine Australian Open titles including three in a row between 2019 and 2021 but visa issues prevented him from defending his title in 2022. The Serb will go into Sunday's final as red-hot favourite, but does Tsitsipas have what it takes to pull off an upset? Route to the Final

Pre-tournament favourite, Novak Djokovic has been in strong form throughout the tournament, dropping just one en route to the final. Djokovic really laid down a marker when losing just seven games in a straight-set quarter-final win against number five seed Andrey Rublev.
Stefanos Tsitsipas won his first three matches without dropping a set before edging a five-set thriller against Jannik Sinner in round four. Tsitsipas then eased to a win in straight sets in the quarter-final before coming through a tough semi-final against Karen Khachanov.
Betting Tips
Djokovic started the Australian Open as the odds-on favourite in the men's singles tournament and has shown no signs that the bookies had called this wrong. The nine-time Australian Open champion boasts a 10-2 record in head-to-head matches against Tsitsipas and could wrap up the final in straight sets.
However, their previous Grand Slam meetings have been extremely tight affairs. Djokovic defeated Tsitsipas over five sets in the 2020 French Open semi-final and 2021 French Open final with both matches going right to the wire. Their 2021 French Open final, in particular, will still play on the mind of Stefanos Tsitsipas who surrendered a two-set lead at Roland Garros. Djokovic to win in five sets is our bet of the day at 5/1, whilst Tsitsipas is 9/1 to edge a five-set match.
Tsitsipas took the first two sets in the 2021 French Open but Djokovic tends to be the faster starter when these guys meet. Djokovic to win the first set is a solid bet at 1/3 whilst the 15/2 on offer for Djokovic to win the first set 6-2 is worth considering.
Australian Open Final Odds
- Novak Djokovic: 1/5
- Stefanos Tsitsipas: 19/5
