Katie Taylor and Chantelle Cameron return to Dublin’s 3Arena on Saturday for their highly-anticipated rematch. The undisputed female light-welterweight title is on the line once again and here at betting.bet you’ll find the best fight odds, betting tips and free bet offers from our partners at Betfred.
First Fight Recap
Billed as ‘Homecoming’, the first fight between Chantelle Cameron and Katie Taylor was the latter’s first professional fight in her native Ireland. Taylor was initially set defend her undisputed lightweight crown in a rematch against seven-weight world champion, Amanda Serrano but the Puerto Rican sustained an injury in camp. Taylor then proceeded to call out undisputed light-welterweight world champion, Chantelle Cameron, hoping to become a two-weight undisputed world champion.
In a thrilling contest in Dublin, Chantelle Cameron claimed a majority decision win (96-94, 96-94, 95-95), defending both her belts and her unbeaten professional record in the process.
Fighting Form
Chantelle Cameron boasts a perfect record of 18 wins from 18 professional bouts. The 32-year-old became undisputed world champion at light-welterweight with a points win over Jessica McCaskill in Abu Dhabi last November. Eight of Cameron’s 18 wins have come inside the distance via knockout.
Katie Taylor suffered her first professional loss in her first bout with Cameron. The 37-year-old Olympic and World Championship gold medallist has won 22 of her 23 professional fights and is already a two-weight world champion.
Taylor won her first world title in just her seventh professional fight. Incredibly, after Saturday’s bout, 75% of Taylor’s professional bouts would’ve been world title fights.
Greatness on the Horizon for Katie Taylor
At 37 years of age, Saturday’s bout could define the career of Katie Taylor. If she loses a second straight fight against Chantelle Cameron, the road back for Taylor would be a long one. However, if she wins, a potential trilogy fight against Cameron or a rematch against Amanda Serrano could elevate Taylor to yet another level.
Promoter, Eddie Hearn has hinted that the next fight for a victorious Katie Taylor could take place at Croke Park. The iconic home of the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) holds in excess of 80,000 people and would create the largest event ever known in the world of women’s boxing.
Hearn stated, “The trilogy could be massive. We've got the rematch with Amanda Serrano. If she wins on Saturday night, I want to deliver Croke Park because if she comes through this fight, her popularity will go to another level.”
He added, “Don’t forget, not a lot of people are giving her a load of chances in this fight. So if she proves everyone wrong in this fight, it’ll be her greatest victory ever."

Katie Taylor v Chantelle Cameron Betting Tips
Neither fighter is renowned for their immense punching power. Katie Taylor has just six knockout wins to her name and none since March 2019. Meanwhile, Chantelle Cameron has won just one of her past eight fights by stoppage. Saturday’s fight going the distance seems an inevitability but is far too short to consider at 1/10.
Chantelle Cameron was a deserved winner in their first bout and certainly justifies favouritism on Saturday evening. However, Katie Taylor was just one round short of victory in May and she is more than capable of swinging at least one round in her favour in front of her home Dublin crowd. A win for Katie Taylor would cement her place amongst the greats of women’s boxing and at 7/4, a points win is excellent value.
If either fighter is to record a stoppage win, Chantelle Cameron looks the most likely. Cameron has a natural height and weight advantage over Katie Taylor and is some five year’s younger than Saturday’s opponent. A Cameron stoppage is worth real consideration at 13/2.
