Sedgefield Special - Exclusive on course tips

We head down to Sedgefield for a day of betting.bet race sponsorship. Enjoy these exclusive tips from the betting.bet team!

Today at Sedgefield welcomes betting.bet with 4 races sponsored on the racecard. The meeting opens up with a couple of betting.bet Maiden Hurdles both with strong fields of 10 or more runners. Some great each way value in both races.

Our other two races, both handicap hurdles round the day off. Once again both extremely competitive fields with a dozen runners in each.

With such competitive fields we have got the experts to give our users their verdicts on each of our sponsored races including a value and each way bet in each race, giving  you something to think about.

PARIS LIGHTS -

Let's give PARIS LIGHTS a shot in this not-so-tough competition. Joining Paul Midgley's team and having hit a high mark of 84 in previous races, there's a good vibe about this one potentially shaking things up in a new scene. Arlo, although not setting the world on fire, holds a solid rating of 103, making him the one to watch out for. And hey, don't sleep on Final Edgar either; there might just be a surprise in store!

VALUE - FINAL EDGAR - 6/1

E/W -  ROUSE - 33/1

REACH FOR THE MOON - 4/5

We love REACH FOR THE MOON, who was once seen as a star in the making, hasn't quite lived up to expectations in his last few flat races. But now, with Jamie Snowden taking the reins and a switch to hurdling, there's a fresh wave of optimism that this gifted horse might just turn things around. Schmilsson, after nabbing a solid second place at Southwell in December, is definitely in the mix with a little more progress. And let's not overlook Not Now Tayto, who seems ready to make a splash and round out the leading pack. Here's to hoping they all find their stride and light up the track!

VALUE - RAFFLES WONDER - 7/1

E/W - NOT NOW TAYTO - 18/1

JUST CALL ME AL -13/2

Coup De Gold finally hit the winner's circle here last month after a long four-year wait, thanks to a shorter race distance. But considering his track record, a slight weight increase, and a stretch back out to 2m4f, it might be wise to check out some other contenders this time around. So, I'm leaning towards JUST CALL ME AL, who's coming off a strong second-place finish at Musselburgh over 3m in December. The shift to a shorter distance could really play to his strengths. Also, keep an eye out for Ring Pretender stepping into the handicap scene over hurdles for the first time. If the bets start rolling in for her, she could be the dark horse to watch. Here's to an exciting race and maybe a surprise or two!

VALUE - RING PRETENDER- 7/1

E/W - VELASCO - 20/1

Race 7

TOWNHILL - 2/1

The 6yr old TOWNHILL is on a roll, getting better with every race this season and snagged his first win at Doncaster in a conditionals/amateur jockeys' event. Even with a 5lb bump up, his jockey's 7lb claim more than evens things out, and the longer distance? Doesn't seem like it'll slow him down a bit. Onestepatatime is definitely one to watch as she jumps back to hurdling after a strong third-place finish here over fences. And let's not forget about Dillarchie and Victory Echo – they're shaping up to be the top picks from the rest. Looks like we're in for a great race!

VALUE - DILLARCHIE - 7/1

E/W - VICTORY ECHO - 10/1
