Day 1 Recap: Betting.bet Leave Templegate Trailing
Largo Bay’s narrow win in the opening race at Lingfield on Monday afternoon got the betting.bet team off to a perfect start in our new exciting ‘Tipster Challenge’ feature. Taking on esteemed tipster, Templegate from The Sun, betting.bet’s in-house tipster achieved an admirable return of +18.75 on day one of the challenge. On a tough day’s racing, Templegate recorded a £50 loss on Monday.
In all, the betting.bet team predicted six race winners compared to Templegate’s five, including each of the first three at Lingfield. The evening meeting at Southwell proved difficult to predict with both betting.bet and Templegate tipping just one of nine race winners apiece correctly.
There are three more meetings on Tuesday; Market Rasen and Taunton host a couple of jump meetings in the afternoon whilst there is evening racing on Wolverhampton’s all-weather track.
