Thanks to odds from our betting partners at Ladbrokes we have priced up each match individually, but a treble would return a princely sum at odds of 5.16/1.
When looking up our selections for Friday’s daily betting tips we came to the unfortunate conclusion that we should not expect too many goals throughout Europe this evening. Whilst we’d love nothing more than to see goals fly in across the continent, our Friday treble is in the rather underwhelming ‘under 2.5 match goals’ market. Thanks to odds from our betting partners at Ladbrokes we have priced up each match individually, but a treble would return a princely sum at odds of 5.16/1.
Notts County v Gillingham: under 2.5 match goals - 23/20
In League Two promotion-chasing Notts County hope to get their season back on track at home to Gillingham. Despite sitting tenth in the league, just one point behind Notts County, Gillingham are the lowest-scoring team in the entire division with just 26 goals scored in their 29 matches. Notts County have to start putting wins together if they’re to make it back-to-back promotions but they’ve struggled since the departure of manager, Luke Williams.
Cadiz v Real Betis: under 2.5 match goals - 8/15
In the Friday night fixture over in Spain, Real Betis travel to the lowest goal scorers in La Liga. Cadiz are deep in the relegation mire having scored just 15 goals in their 23 matches to date. Cadiz have scored just once in their past six league games. However, Real Betis have won just two away games in the league this season and are the second-lowest scoring team currently positioned in the top half of the La Liga table. Therefore, Real Betis cannot be backed to win with any real conviction and under 2.5 match goals is the sensible bet.
Marseille v Metz: under 2.5 match goals - 20/23
Aside from PSG and Monaco, no side scores a huge amount of goals in Ligue 1 and Marseille have a modest return of 28 goals scored in 20 matches so far. The nine-time champions are still unbeaten at home this season and having conceded just 5 goals in 10 home league games, we don’t give Metz too much of a chance of adding to the lowly total of 9 goals they’ve scored on the road.
