Our week-long Tipster Challenge came to a thrilling conclusion at Chelmsford on Friday evening with the challenge going down to the very last race. Both Templegate and Betting.Bet were guaranteed to finish the week with a healthy profit margin but the winning tipster would not be crowned until after the completion of the 8:15 race on Chelmsford’s all-weather track.

Templegate held a lender advantage going into the final race however, Betting.Bet knew that a win for their selection, Lough Leane would see them crowned King of the Tipsters. Lough Leane was well-supported in the market, shortening from 13/2 into 5/1 but Templegate looked on course to end on a high as his final selection, H Key Lails took up the running. In a dramatic finish, Lough Leane went from last to first in the final furlong or so to win by half a length.

A daily profit of £36.79 gave Templegate a total weekly return of £281.37 from a straight £10 per race stake. Betting.Bet went into Friday with a running weekly total of +£85.41 but a superb final day profit of £208.21 gave a weekly total of +£293.62

The Betting.Bet highlight on day five was undoubtedly the three wins at Chelmsford at 5/1, 11/4 and 13/2 but their biggest win of the day came on board 12/1 shot, My Turn Now in the 5:07 at Wolverhampton.
