West Ham humiliates and the Sack Race is on!
So, David Moyes is really feeling the heat after West Ham got absolutely walloped by Arsenal at home with a scoreline that read like a nightmare: 6-0. Before this weekend, the odds of him getting the boot were pretty slim, over 20/1, but now? They've nosedived to just 8/1, making him the third most likely Premier League manager to be shown the door next.
It's been a tough start to the year for the Hammers, not managing to notch a single win in any competition so far, and this latest defeat really rubbed salt in the wound. Arsenal just ran riot on Sunday, and it got so bad that loads of fans couldn't even bear to watch the second half, bailing out when the score was already 4-0 at the break.
Despite this, West Ham aren't exactly in the worst spot in the league, hanging in at eighth and they've even punched their ticket to the Europa League quarter-finals, so it's not all doom and gloom.
Meanwhile, over at Crystal Palace, Roy Hodgson is sitting in the hot seat as the top pick to be packing his bags next, especially with a big game against Chelsea coming up on Monday Night Football. Mauricio Pochettino, facing off against Hodgson in that match, is also feeling the pressure as the second favourite to get the sack. And Vincent Kompany? Despite Burnley's loss at Anfield, his odds have actually gotten a bit better, try figure that one out.
Next Premier League Manager to be Sacked
- Roy Hodgson - 1/2
- Mauricio Pochettino - 9/2
- David Moyes - 8/1
- Vincent Kompany - 12/1
- 20/1 bar
Roy Hodgson is looking vulnerable for the sack too and will need a t least a point to silence the boo boys in their game with Chelsea tonight.
