Breaking News: Kylian Mbappe to Leave PSG This Summer

Real Madrid seem Mbappe’s most likely destination, but they will undoubtedly have plenty of competition for his signature this summer

In an announcement that will come as no surprise to anybody, Kylian Mbappe has today confirmed that he’ll be leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The World Cup winner joined PSG from Monaco in a world record transfer but the 25-year-old has long been expected to move at the end of this season. Real Madrid seem Mbappe’s most likely destination, but they will undoubtedly have plenty of competition for his signature this summer. Here at betting.bet we take a look at the clubs in contention to sign PSG’s all-time top goalscorer.

Where will Mbappe start next season?

Real Madrid are the bookies’ odds-on favourites to snap up Mbappe but where will the Frenchman fit into their starting XI? The Spanish giants are closing in on another La Liga title and amongst the outright favourites for the UEFA Champions League. Real Madrid are already blessed with a wealth of attacking talent and the question is, how do you fit Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Bellingham and Mbappe all into the same side?

If Real Madrid decide against making a move for Mbappe then the Saudi Pro League has emerged as a serious alternative. Closer to home, Liverpool are preparing for life without Jurgen Klopp and the signing of Mbappe would certainly make life easier for whoever comes in to replace the outgoing German.

A move to either La Liga or the Premier League could also boost Mbappe’s odds of claiming this year’s Ballon d’Or; a market that will also be heavily influenced by performances in this summer’s Euro 2024 tournament.

Who will replace Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain?

With Kylian Mbappe’s summer departure from PSG now confirmed, speculation will begin on who the big-spending Parisians will draft in to replace the Frenchman. Napoli duo, Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as well as Milan’s Rafael Leao have all been linked to PSG this week. Osimhen was a losing finalist in the recent Africa Cup of Nations and has also been suggested as a possible summer acquisition for Chelsea or Arsenal.
