European Special: Galatasaray, Benfica & Ajax all to win - 5/2
Thursday’s daily betting tips are all fixtures taking place in UEFA’s second and third tier club competitions; the Europa League and Europa Conference League. There are eight fixtures taking place in each competition meaning there are plenty of betting opportunities available throughout the evening. Thanks to the latest odds from online bookie BetUK, here are the recommended bets we have shortlisted for you.
Galatasaray v Sparta Prague: Galatasaray to win - 4/6
Galatasaray may count themselves unfortunate not to have progressed in the Champions League. The Turkish side took four points from a possible six against Manchester United in Group A but a 1-0 loss at FC Copenhagen on match day six saw the Danes qualify at the expense of Galatasaray.
Domestically, Galatasaray are in pole position in the Turkish Super Lig with 66 points from their 25 matches so far and with the likes of Mauro Icardi, Wilfried Zaha and Dries Mertens in their ranks they should prove too strong at home to Sparta Prague.
Benfica v Toulouse: Benfica to win - 7/20
Benfica dropped out of the Champions League after finishing third in Group D behind Real Sociedad and Inter Milan but they are on course to win a second successive Portuguese Primeira Liga title and have our vote on Thursday. Opponents, Toulouse have struggled throughout the 2023/24 season and currently sit 14th in Ligue 1. The French side did pull off a shock 3-2 win at home to Liverpool in the group stage but were humbled 5-1 in the return fixture.
Ajax v Bodo/Glimt: Ajax to win - 13/25
Ajax endured a torrid start to the 2023/24 season and were at one point rock-bottom of the Eredivisie table and bottom of their Europa League group. Whilst their form has recovered domestically to rise up to fifth in the Eredivisie table, they were eliminated from the Europa League.
Now in the third tier tournament but displaying signs of improvement, Ajax should have too much for a Bodo/Glimt side lacking match fitness. Norway’s winter break means Bodo/Glimt have not played a competitive match since December.
