Here at betting.bet you’ll find a comprehensive look at the weekend’s Premier League action but we cover a lot more than just the top flight of English football. In our Saturday daily preview, we’ll turn our attention to the EFL, with our daily betting tips featuring games from the Championship, League One and League Two with odds courtesy of BoyleSports.
Huddersfield Town v Hull City: Huddersfield Town to win - 21/10
Hull City are right in the mix for a play-off spot and not in bad form but they could come unstuck away at an improved Huddersfield Town side. Since sacking Darren Moore at the end of January, Huddersfield Town have taken 6 points from a possible 9, earning home wins against both Sunderland (1-0) and Sheffield Wednesday (4-0) and running Southampton extremely close at St Marys.
Norwich City v Cardiff City: Norwich City to win - 3/4
Another side in the hunt for a top six finish are Norwich City and on Saturday they should prove too strong for a Cardiff City side struggling for form. Norwich City’s only league defeat in 2024 came against Leeds United at Elland Road meanwhile Cardiff City have lost four of their past five league games and only scored twice in their last six matches in all competitions.
Bolton Wanderers v Charlton Athletic: Bolton Wanderers to win - 6/10
Bolton Wanderers head into the weekend in third position in League One and still have an excellent chance of automatic promotion. The Trotters boast the division’s best home record with 35 points from 16 games whilst Saturday’s opponents, Charlton Athletic have just one win and ten points from their 15 away league games. The visitors are winless in 14 league games and that run is unlikely to end at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
Fleetwood Town v Barnsley: Barnsley to win - 10/11
Fleetwood Town have the worst home record in League One, earning just 12 points in their 16 home league games so far and on Saturday they welcome promotion-chasing Barnsley to Highbury. Barnsley recorded 21 shots and 62% possession away at Shrewsbury Town last weekend yet they needed a 92nd minute penalty to rescue a point. We’re expecting them to be far more clinical against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
Walsall v Mansfield Town: Mansfield Town to win - 20/21
Mansfield Town equalled their all-time record league victory last weekend as they thumped in-form Harrogate Town 9-2. The win was the biggest in the Football League since 2011 and was the first time a team had scored 9 goals in a single EFL game since 1998. If Mansfield Town fail to beat Walsall then that huge win against Harrogate Town means very little in The Hatters’ push for automatic promotion. Walsall head into the weekend in 16th position. The hosts are 16 points clear of relegation but also 8 points adrift of the play-off spots; Mansfield Town should certainly be the more motivated of the two sides. Mansfield Town boast the best away record in League Two with 30 points from 16 games.
