Our daily betting tips focus on the EFL and features matches from the Championship, League One and League Two
There are eight Premier League fixtures this weekend and here at betting.bet you’ll find a comprehensive preview of each and every one of them. However, our daily betting tips focus on the EFL and features matches from the Championship, League One and League Two with generous pre-match odds courtesy of William Hill.
Ipswich Town v Birmingham City: Ipswich Town to win - 1/2
Ipswich Town are eyeing a fourth straight win as they keep up their push for automatic promotion from the Sky Bet Championship. The Tractor Boys have one of the best home records in the EFLhaving lost just once at Portman Road all season. Birmingham City are Saturday’s visitors to East Anglia and they arrive with a poor record away from home. Just 11 of The Blues’ 38 points so far this season have come away from St Andrews.
Reading v Shrewsbury Town: Reading to win - 5/6
Despite all their off-field turmoil, Reading have pulled clear of the relegation zone in League One with just one defeat in their past eight league games. Their home record in particular is excellent with 31 points taken from their 17 home league games. Shrewsbury Town are winless in four matches and head into the weekend with just three wins on the road all season.
Bristol Rovers v Carlisle United: Bristol Rovers to win - 6/10
Whilst Bristol Rovers haven’t pulled up any trees this season, Carlisle United are undoubtedly the worst team in the third tier. Carlisle United are 13 points adrift of safety and make the long trip to the Memorial Stadium on the back of seven straight losses. Their only win on the road this season came against Bolton Wanderers all the way back on October 7th.
Stockport County v Swindon Town: Stockport County to win - 2/5
Stockport County are closing in on a second promotion in three seasons but have failed to win any of their past three league games. However, Saturday’s opponents are one of the few sides in the division currently on a worse run of form. Swindon Town have taken just two points from their past four matches and are without a win away from home since November.
MK Dons v Newport County: MK Dons to win - 13/20
MK Dons are right in the mix for automatic promotion and with 34 points in 17 matches they boast one of the best home records in League Two. On Saturday Newport County are the visitors to Stadium MK. The Welsh side are still in the hunt for a place in the play-offs but like MK Dons, their best form is usually reserved for their home fixtures. Just 16 of Newport County’s 46 points have been won away from home.
