West Ham United, Girona & Roma to win - 13/2
The football action continues this evening with some intriguing fixtures both in England and on the continent. Coventry City host Maidstone United in the FA Cup fifth round but at odds of 2/15 with Ladbrokes, the Sky Blues will not be part of our daily treble.
West Ham United v Brentford: West Ham United to win - 27/20
East meets West in Monday’s London derby as West Ham United host Brentford in the Premier League. Neither side head into Monday’s fixture in great form but West Ham United should just edge this. Manager, David Moyes is under immense pressure with West Ham United yet to win a league game in 2024. The Hammers have lost their last three league games by an aggregate 11-0 scoreline, including a 6-0 rout at the hands of Arsenal in their last home game. Hammers fans will expect a response to that drubbing and will take on a Brentford side with 11 defeats in their last 14 matches. The expected return of Lucas Paqueta is a major boost for West Ham United.
Girona v Rayo Vallecano: Girona to win - 3/5
La Liga’s surprise package, Girona have stuttered recently, taking just one point from their last three matches. Whilst they were in the title race just a few weeks ago, Girona are now nervously looking over their shoulders in the race for Champions League qualification. As they look to stop the rot, Girona are at home to one of the division’s few sides currently enduring a worse run of form. Rayo Vallecano are winless in six La Liga matches and despite battling to a 1-1 draw at home to Real Madrid last weekend, we expect that winless streak to continue for another week at least.
Roma v Torino: Roma to win - 20/21
The race for a top six finish in Serie A hots up this evening as 6th placed Roma host 10th placed Torino a couple of hours before 7th take on 8th as Lazio travel to Fiorentina. Roma are arguably the most in-form side of the quartet in action this evening. Since Daniele De Rossi was appointed as Jose Mourinho’s replacement, Roma have won four of their five league games. The game they failed to win was against runaway league leaders, Inter Milan. Monday’s opponents, Torino have won just three away league games this season and were comfortably beaten by ten-man Lazio in their last Serie A match.
