The FA Cup remains our focus for today’s daily betting tips with another four matches taking place this evening. The big questions that’ll need answering; will Chelsea or Liverpool be feeling the effects of their gruelling 120-minute cup final? Will Manchester United have one eye on Sunday’s Manchester derby? Thanks to odds from our betting partners at Betfred, we give our opinions on this and more.
Chelsea v Leeds United: Chelsea to win - 1/2
Chelsea will be hurting after Sunday’s EFL Cup final loss and the FA Cup is now The Blues’ only chance of silverware this season. Leeds United are in red-hot form but their priority remains the Sky Bet Championship. Leeds United hope to return to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League next season but for now, we cannot see them posing any threat to Chelsea on Wednesday.
Nottingham Forest v Manchester United: Nottingham Forest to win - 2/1
Injuries to Luke Shaw and Rasmus Hojlund should not be underestimated. Manchester United were outplayed at home to Fulham at the weekend and will now be nervously looking ahead to Sunday’s trip to the Etihad. Playing Victor Lindelof and left-back in place of England international, Luke Shaw creates an imbalance in the Manchester United defensive line whilst without in-form forward, Hojlund, you have to wonder where the United goals will come from.
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Brighton & Hove Albion: Draw - 13/5
Probably the toughest of the four ties to call this evening. Wolves and Brighton are evenly matched and both are enjoying a decent run of form in the Premier League. Given how difficult it is to separate the two teams, the logical option is to sit on the fence and back a draw at Molineux.
Liverpool v Southampton: Liverpool to win - 1/2
Like Leeds United, Southampton’s ultimate goal this season is promotion back to the Premier League but this evening, we’re not looking any further than a home win at Anfield. Liverpool’s squad has been rocked by a series of injuries but they should have enough to win this evening - just!
