Professor Tips - BTTS Weekend Acca

A 6 team BTTS acca is on the agenda as the Professor seeks out the defensively lacking!

The Professor has pinpointed 6 games this weekend where we expect lots of goals. These are based on recent form, head-to-head performances and other stats.

Th first game is Brighton v Nottingham Forest, where both teams seem to concede in every game. Brighton got hit by 4 midweek by an average Roma team. Nottingham Forest have shipped almost 50 goals this season and despite only being beaten by a single late goal last weekend by Liverpool ,they pretty much concede every game.

Brighton v Nottingham Forest

BTTS- 11/20

Next we have the game between Wolves and Fulham. Despite both teams having respectable goals against records they both stand out in the middle of the table with most goals conceded. Fulham conceded in every Premier League game in February and Wolves form has dropped off. They have conceded 12 goals in their last 4 game; an average of 3 goals per game. Surely there are goals here!

Fulham v Wolves

BTTS - 13/20

Into the Championship we have Plymouth and Blackburn facing off at Elwood Park. Both teams start the season with a bang but now both languish near the bottom of the table. With both teams on 40 points amongst many teams who could end up in the bottom 3, this weekend surely both will be gunning for goals. Both teams have pretty poor goals against records too.

Plymouth v Blackburn

BTTS - 8/13

Another game in the Championship that is likely to see the back of the net shudder a few times at either end is the game between Cardiff and Ipswich. The Bluebirds have vastly improved their form as of late and have been winning by the odd goal here and there. Despite having kept some clean sheets lately, Ipswich are the leagues top goal scorers with 73 goals, a score draw is definitely on the cards.

Cardiff City v Ipswich

BTTS - 3/4

As we drop down to League 1 for our penultimate BTTS tip, we cast our eyes over another stand out contender for goals. Charlton have one of the worst defensive records in the league along with Carlisle United who are no doubt returning to League 2 next season. Charlton still have play-off aspirations and need to start picking up wins whilst Carlisle have the freedom to play without pressure as they are only a few weeks away from being relegated. They sit 15 points from safety with just 11 games left in the season.  A goalfest could be on the cards here and may be worth looking at an 'Over 4.5' goals in this game at great value 11/2.

Charlton Athletic v Carlisle

BTTS - 9/10

Our last game may surprise you as it involves German Bundesliga leaders Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Leverkusen have only conceded 16 goals in the league this season but they are facing a Wolfsburg team despite struggling in the League to score goals. Leverkusen only managed a lowly 2-2 draw midweek in Azerbaijan and despite being firm favourites a score draw looks like the best bet.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen v Wolfsburg

BTTS - 17/20
