Derby County, Notts County & Chesterfield to win - 2.94/1
There are a whole host of international friendlies taking place on Saturday, including England v Brazil at Wembley Stadium. However, our daily betting tips all come from England’s domestic leagues. Today’s odds come courtesy of our betting partners at Virgin Bet.
Northampton Town v Derby County: Derby County to win - 4/9
Second placed, Derby County are the only side in League One’s top six in action on Saturday and The Rams have an opportunity to not only close in on league leaders, Portsmouth but also put some daylight between them and the chasing pack in the race for automatic promotion. Saturday’s hosts, Northampton Town have taken just two points from their past five league games and should offer little resistance to a Derby County side that has won four straight matches.
Notts County v Salford: Notts County to win - 19/20
There are signs that Notts County have finally turned the corner after a disastrous sequence of results saw them fall away from promotion candidates to League Two also-rans. Tuesday’s 3-0 win at Bradford City moved Stuart Maynard’s side to within six points of the play-off spots. Another three points at home to Salford on Saturday will really put them back in the mix for a top seven spot.
Chesterfield v Boreham Wood: Chesterfield to win - 2/5
As predicted by the betting.bet tipsters, Chesterfield’s promotion was put on ice on Wednesday as they went down to a 4-2 defeat at play-off contenders, Halifax Town. However, Saturday could be the day that The Spireites end their six year spell in the fifth tier. Boreham Wood have lost three straight league games and lost 2-0 at home in the reverse fixture back in October.
