Azerbaijan, Montenegro & Bolivia to win - 17/2
The international friendlies continue this week and they are the focus of Monday’s daily betting tips. Using odds from popular bookmakers, Unibet, we have hand-picked some real stand-out selections from Monday’s fixtures.
Azerbaijan v Bulgaria: Azerbaijan to win - 33/20
Monday’s hosts, Azerbaijan are by no means a force to be reckoned with but their home record in qualification was decent. Four home games produced an impressive 3-0 win against Sweden, a 1-1 draw against Estonia and narrow 1-0 defeats to both Belgium and Austria.
The current Bulgarian team is nowhere near the level of the side that reached the semi-finals of the 1994 FIFA World Cup or even the one that qualified for the European Championships in both 1996 and 2004. In Euro 2024 qualification, Bulgaria finished rock-bottom of an average group, failing to register a single win. Bulgaria have failed to win any of their past eleven internationals.
Montenegro v North Macedonia: Montenegro to win - 8/5
Montenegro’s failure to qualify for Euro 2024 was almost certainly down to their poor away record. At home, Montenegro have won four of their past six matches with both losses during that run coming away from home.
North Macedonia may have pulled off a shock win over Italy in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification play-offs but their form since has been average at best, especially away from home. North Macedonia’s away fixtures in 2023 included a 7-0 defeat against England at Old Trafford and a 5-2 loss in Rome against Italy. North Macedonia’s only away wins in their past eight came against minnows, Malta and Gibraltar.
Bolivia v Andorra: Bolivia to win - 21/50
Bolivia’s very backable odds of 21/50 shows that the South Americans are perhaps being underestimated ahead of their 2024 FIFA Series match against one of the lowest-ranked nations in world football. Bolivia may have lost 3-2 against Algeria on Friday but a 2-0 win against Peru in November shows that they cannot be taken lightly. Andorra on the other hand have gone 14 internationals without a win. Their last victory was against Liechtenstein in September 2022.
