Miami Open Quarter-Final Set Betting: Sinner to win 2-0 & Medvedev to win 2-1 - 4.11/1
With very little football scheduled for Wednesday our daily betting tips switch focus today with a nice daily double from the quarter-finals of the ATP Miami Open. Odds on this evening’s tennis action will come from our betting partners at Betfair.
Tomas Machac v Jannik Sinner: Sinner to win 2-0 - 4/11
Tomas Machac defeated fifth seed, Andrey Rublev and three-time Grand Slam champion, Andy Murray en route to the quarter-final but this is likely to be the end of the road for the world number 60. Second seed, Jannik Sinner has started 2024 in the form of his life. The Italian has already won the Australian Open and the Rotterdam Open before reaching the semi-final of the Indian Wells Open earlier this month. Sinner was a losing finalist in Miami twelve months ago but more than capable of going one better this year.
Nicolas Jarry v Daniil Medvedev: Medvedev to win 2-1 - 11/4
Nicolas Jarry should not be underestimated having reached the quarter-finals at the expense of seventh seed, Casper Ruud. The Chilean has been much improved in the past year and a bit. Having achieved a career best performance in all four Grand Slam single events in 2023, Jarry kicked off 2024 by reaching the final of the Argentina Open. His most notable win in Buenos Aires came in the semi-final against top seed, Carlos Alcaraz.
However, quarter-final opponent, Daniil Medvedev is yet to drop a set in Miami and has reached at least the semi-final in every tournament he’s been involved in so far in 2024. The 2021 US Open winner should come through this tie but he will not have it all his own way.
