Millwall, Port Vale & Newport County to win - 25/1
Our daily betting tips on Friday come from the English Football League with a full complement of fixtures taking place across the Championship, League One and League Two. Having already put together a Good Friday acca for the EFL, our daily betting tips are a selection of outsiders with fancy to pull off an upset and very generous odds. All prices come courtesy of our betting partners at Unibet.
Millwall v West Bromwich Albion: Millwall to win - 43/20
The league table and the form book both point to an away win but Neil Harris has made an immediate mark on Millwall. Having brought Harris back to the club to stave off the threat of relegation, The Lions have won three, drawn one and lost only away at leaders, Leeds United in his five matches back at the New Den. West Brom have lost seven times on the road this season and we’re expecting their promotion hopes to be dented in London on Good Friday.
Port Vale v Bristol Rovers: Port Vale to win - 29/20
Port Vale won their first league game of 2024 last weekend and could follow up with another three points on Friday. Darren Moore is an excellent manager at this level and Friday’s visitors to Vale Park are very much consigned to mid-table obscurity this season. Bristol Rovers are 13 points adrift of the play-offs yet 14 points clear of the drop zone and head into the weekend with one point in three matches.
Colchester United v Newport County: Newport County to win - 5/2
We’re surprised to see Newport County available at such a big price on Friday. Whilst the Exiles don’t have the best away record in the league this season they should certainly prove too strong for a Colchester United side languishing precariously close to the drop zone in League Two. Newport County’s form is deceptively good. Whilst on paper they have won four and lost four of their last eight matches, those four losses all came against sides currently positioned in the league’s top six. Colchester United are winless in eight matches and possess one of the division’s worst home records with just four wins from 17 matches at the JobServe Community Stadium.
