With another full fixture list in the English Football League on Easter Monday, our daily betting tips come from the three divisions that make up the EFL; the Championship, League One and League Two. Today’s odds come courtesy of bookmakers, Unibet.
Rotherham United v Millwall: Millwall to win - 3/4
Since Neil Harris’ return to the club, Millwall have looked far more capable of pulling clear of the bottom three and despite taking just one point from their past two matches, there’s plenty to be optimistic about. Neil Harris has 3 wins, 2 draws and just 1 defeat in six games back at Millwall and they arguably are more comfortable away from home than at the New Den. Rotherham United’s relegation to League One now looks a foregone conclusion and they’re unlikely to stop Millwall’s charge towards the top half of the table.
Leeds United v Hull City: Leeds United to win - 2/5
Monday’s hosts, Leeds United are still right in the hunt for automatic promotion having maintained their unbeaten start to 2024 on Good Friday. Leeds United’s 14 league games since the turn of the year have produced 12 wins and 2 draws.
In contrast, Hull City’s spectacular collapse has seen them go from promotion hopefuls to Championship also-rans in no time at all. The Tigers occupied a play-off spot just over a month ago but have now gone five league games without a win. A 2-0 defeat at home to Stoke City on Friday was a real low point.
Bolton Wanderers v Reading: Bolton Wanderers to win - 13/25
Bolton Wanderers’ hopes of automatic promotion have been severely dented in recent weeks with a return of just one point in two matches enough to see them fall six points adrift of the top two. However, on Monday they host a Reading side that possess one of the worst away records in the league. Reading have won back-to-back league games at home but on the road have won just 3 of their 14 league games this season.
Notts County v MK Dons: MK Dons to win - 5/4
If MK Dons fail to achieve promotion this season it will undoubtedly be due to their awful away form. At home, MK Dons have earned more points (46) than any other side however, they have lost half of their 20 league games on the road.
On Monday they travel to a Notts County side that has endured a torrid time so far in 2024. Notts County have lost five straight home league games to fall from the automatic promotion places to the bottom half of the table in just three short months. If there was ever an opportunity for MK Dons to end their dismal run away from home, this could be it.
Sutton United v Swindon Town: Sutton United to win - 6/5
Sutton United’s hopes of avoiding the drop could one step closer on Monday as Steve Morison’s side go in search of a fourth straight league win. Sutton United’s brief stay in the EFL looked to be coming to a close but they are now with a single point of safety. Monday’s visitors, Swindon Town have the worst away record in League Two with just 13 points in 19 matches and are winless away from The County Ground since November.
