VANILLIER - 9/1 (WIN)
Gavin Cromwell's striking grey horse VANILLIER overcame a highly unlikely position to secure second place behind Corach Rambler in last year's Grand National. This performance was notable for its perfect execution over the famed Aintree barriers, a first for the horse, and a significant improvement on earlier questionable jumping. Stamina is this horse's strong suit. Despite a clear defeat by I Am Maximus in his last race, he has been meticulously trained throughout the season with this major race as his primary goal.

ELDORADO ALLEN - 66/1 (E/W)
Yet another grey ELDORADO ALLEN, placed fourth in the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury in December and clinched a victory in the 2022 Denman Chase. He also secured second place in both the Charlie Hall and Betfair Chases. Although there are concerns that the distance might test his stamina evidenced by him being pulled up at last month's Cheltenham Festival, he remains a contender when performing at his best. Adding an interesting historical note, the jockey's father, Brendan Powell Sr, famously rode Rhyme 'N' Reason to victory in the 1988 Grand National.

ROI MAGE - 50/1 (E/W)
Last year ROI MAGE, the horse finished seventh in the National but is reported to have had a superior preparation this season. He also has a more favorable position in the weights compared to the top two finishers from last year, Corach Rambler and Vanillier, and would benefit from soft ground conditions. He is one of the few horses trained by the duo of 82-year-old Patrick Griffin and his son James. Notably, three of the current owners previously celebrated a victory with the 66-1 outsider Auroras Encore in 2013.
