The weekend’s football will warm up nicely on Friday with some crucial fixtures across England and Europe. Here at betting.bet we’ve hand-picked a few bets worth some real consideration from this evening’s standout fixtures, providing odds from our partners at Unibet.
Oxford United v Stevenage
Oxford United to win - 3/4
Oxford United can move a step closer to cementing their place in the League One play-offs on Friday as they host Stevenage at the Kassam Stadium. Having finished 19th in League One last season a play-off spot looked unlikely at the start of the campaign but Oxford United now have their destiny in their own hands. The hosts lost a huge midweek fixture against Lincoln City but can bounce back against a Stevenage side with just one win in ten matches.
Athletic Bilbao v Granada
Athletic Bilbao to win to nil - 4/5
Athletic Bilbao can bolster their chances of European qualification on Friday whilst also keeping the pressure on Atletico Madrid in the final Champions League qualification spot. Ths hosts have lost just one La Liga game at home this season whilst Friday’s opponents, Granada have taken just two points from their 15 away league games.
Genoa v Lazio
Lazio to win - 6/4
Lazio still have an outside chance of earning a top six finish but they have to win against the likes of Genoa if they are to achieve this. Lazio have lost back-to-back away league games at Roma and Juventus however Genoa are certainly not the level of those clubs. Genoa are winless in three home league games and find themselves in mid-table obscurity with no chance of relegation or European qualification. At this point of the season you have to back the teams with more to lose.
Nice v Lorient
Under 2.5 match goals - 10/11
There is still so much to play for in Ligue 1 for fifth-placed Nice. Whilst still in the hunt for a top four spot and a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League, they could drop out of the European places altogether in the coming weeks.
Visitors, Lorient are winless in four league games and find themselves in a relegation battle at the wrong end of the Ligue 1 table however Nice have won just one of their last nine league games. Despite occupying fifth place, Nice are the joint-third-lowest goal scorers in Ligue 1 with just 28 goals scored in 28 matches. They do however possess the league’s meanest defence with just 22 goals against.
Friday Accumulator Odds - 14/1
- Oxford United to win
- Athletic Bilbao to win to nil
- Lazio to win
- Under 2.5 match goals (Nice v Lorient)
