Arsenal have a chance to move back to the top of the Premier League on Saturday evening when they travel to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers. With Liverpool's trip to Fulham not until Sunday and Manchester City in FA Cup action this weekend, three points will return the Gunners to the summit for 24 hours at least. Unusual Kick-Off Time: Where and When To Watch
Arsenal’s trip to Wolves is in an unusual time slot and will kick off at 7:30pm on Saturday. The fixture will be televised live on Sky Sports and as with all Premier League matches televised live on Sky, football betting in-play will offer plenty of appeal.
Form
Arsenal suffered back-to-back losses over the past week that have threatened to derail their entire season. The Gunners conceded two late goals at home to Aston Villa last weekend, going down to a 2-0 loss in the Premier League and subsequently dropping to second place behind Manchester City. Mikel Arteta’s side then travelled to Germany on Wednesday for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie. Drawing 2-2 from the first leg, Arsenal lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich and were eliminated from the competition.
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Arsenal: Head-to-Head
Arsenal have won five straight matches against Wolves, including a 2-1 at the Emirates in the reverse fixture back in December. Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard put Arsenal 2-0 up within 13 minutes before Matheus Cunha pulled a goal back late into the second half.
The corresponding fixture at Molineux last season ended 2-0 in favour of the visitors thanks to a brace from Arsenal captain, Martin Odegaard.
Betting Tips
Following their disappointing exit from the Champions League in midweek, all of Arsenal’s eggs are in one Premier League-shaped basket for the remainder of the season and we expect Mikel Arteta’s side to come out firing on Saturday evening. The Gunners are good value for the win at 1/3 whilst we also like the 29/20 available for them to be leading after 30 minutes.
Martin Odegaard scored both goals for Arsenal in this fixture last season and was also on target when the sides met in North London back in December. However, the Arsenal captain has just one goal in Arsenal’s last eight in all competitions and his only three goals since netting in the reverse fixture has all come against sides currently sat in the Premier League’s bottom three. The best value is probably Kai Havertz. The German has scored in three of Arsenal’s last four away league games - the 0-0 draw at Manchester City being the exception - and he is priced at 8/5 to score at any time.
Matheus Cunha was also on target when these sides last met but has been hampered with injuries since. The Wolves forward scored at the weekend on what was his first start since grabbing a hat-trick away at Chelsea in early February. Cunha is the standout pick for goals for Wolves and is great value at 7/2 to score at any time.
