The National Hunt season will come to a thrilling conclusion on Saturday as Sandown Park prepares to host Finals Day.

The seven-race card includes some of the stars of the jump season and will also see the conclusion of an epic Champion Trainer battle.

Willie Mullins is aiming to become the first Irish trainer to be crowned British champion trainer in 70 years as he goes toe-to-toe with Dan Skelton and Paul Nicholls.

Several bookmakers including Ladbrokes and BoyleSports have paid out on Mullins being crowned champion trainer after he confirmed a star-studded team for the Sandown finale.

No Irish trainer has claimed the British jumps title since Vincent O’Brien in 1954, but Mullins appears poised to alter that history thanks to a series of notable wins in the UK. Mullin’s excellent season has already seen him win the Grand National with I Am Maximus followed by Mr Macdermott’s success in the Scottish Grand National.

El Fabiolo stands out among the nine horses that the brilliant Irish trainer Mullins has confirmed for the jumps season finale on Saturday. Currently, Mullins leads Skelton by £188,678 despite having 92 fewer winners throughout the season.

The Closutton leader is not one to take things lightly and brings a formidable team to Surrey. The squad also includes Sir Gerhard and Impaire Et Passe in the bet365 Select Hurdle.

For the bet365 Gold Cup, Minella Cocooner, Nick Rockett, and Aime Desjy are set to take prominent roles, with We'llhavewan as a reserve.

Mullins has declared four reserves, but those confirmed to race are expected to be among the frontrunners in all their events.

Paul Townend, who recently had an unusual day with no wins from four of Mullins' entries at Perth and was bested by a novice jockey in her debut win, will be riding Easy Game in the Grade 2 Oaksey Chase at 2:25 PM.

Following that, the exciting showdown between El Fabiolo and Nicky Henderson's Jonbon will occur at 3 PM.
