Luke Littler surged five points ahead in the Premier League standings with a dominant 6-2 victory over Rob Cross during Night 13 in Liverpool, a key event for darts betting enthusiasts.

Littler was in fine form in the final, quickly amassing a 5-0 lead with impressive breaks of throw and a 111 checkout that put him firmly in command.

Though Cross managed to narrow the gap to 5-2, Littler maintained a solid 105 average and clinched the match on his favoured D10.

This win marked his third nightly victory and solidified his status as the frontrunner in the league.

Night 13 highlights

"I'm just happy with the way I played—and obviously this lovely bunch of people," Littler remarked. "But I just wanted to come here, pick up some more points, and hopefully I'm through. I'm happy to just kind of push myself away from the other people. But I know it's still going to be tight for the other bunch."

"Obviously, there are only three more weeks left and maybe I can top the table," he added, setting his sights on finishing first after Night 16 of the Premier League of Darts.

Earlier in the evening, Littler staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Nathan Aspinall in a last-leg decider, advancing to the final. Despite trailing 5-2, the 17-year-old rallied to level the score at 5-5, clinching the match with a decisive tops, which he celebrated with a roar, engaging playfully with the crowd throughout the match.

His journey to the final began with a 6-3 upset against Gerwyn Price in the first quarter-final, dampening Price's hopes of reaching Finals Night. Despite jeers from the Liverpool crowd, the Manchester United supporter maintained a 104 average and executed the match's sole break of throw, securing a significant victory.

Cross secured his spot in the final by outplaying Michael van Gerwen with a 6-2 win, marking his first final appearance since Night Five in Exeter. Van Gerwen struggled, missing 16 darts at doubles, but Cross capitalized with a 121 finish.

Additionally, Cross delivered a vital blow to Michael Smith's campaign, showcasing his best form in weeks with a 6-4 triumph over Bullyboy.
