The penultimate round of matches in the Premier League of Darts' league stage will be played at Leeds’ First Direct Arena and the evening is shaping up to be an excellent night of darts. Here at betting.bet we’ll preview each of the night’s quarter-final ties, offering insights and predictions as well as the latest odds and free bet offers from tournament sponsors, BetMGM.

Michael van Gerwen v Gerwyn Price

Gerwyn Price missed last week’s Premier League action through injury and with results going against him in Aberdeen he was eliminated in his absence. Yet another quarter-final defeat for Michael van Gerwen has left the seven-time Premier League winner nervously looking over his shoulder as he bids to secure a play-off spot.

MVG lost to Rob Cross for a second successive week in Aberdeen last Thursday despite recording a 108.33 average in their quarter-final match. But he should bounce back against a returning Price.

Prediction: Michael van Gerwen

Luke Littler v Peter Wright

Two players who have experienced highly contrasting Premier League campaigns meet in the second semi-final as Luke Littler takes on Peter Wright. Peter Wright’s Premier League nightmare now sees him certain to finish rock-bottom of the league having won just two of his fourteen quarter-finals to date.

In contrast, Premier League debutant, Luke Littler has booked a place in the play-offs with first position in the Premier League now guaranteed. The 17-year-old has won back-to-back nights and now has more overall night wins than quarter-final losses throughout the campaign.

Prediction: Luke Littler

Luke Humphries v Rob Cross

Luke Humprhies booked a spot in the play-offs last week despite failing to win a match in Aberdeen. The world number one was handed a quarter-final walkover in Aberdeen last week in the absence of Gerwyn Price and despite losing to Rob Cross in the semi-final, his two points  earned clinched a top four spot.

Rob Cross is once again Luke Humphries’ opponent and the 2018 world champion still retains an outside chance of reaching the play-offs. Cross has lost back-to-back finals against Luke Littler but still has seven points to make up on Michael van Gerwen if he is to breach the top four.

Prediction: Luke Humphries

Nathan Aspinall v Michael Smith

Michael Smith is the player most likely to gatecrash the play-off party as he still has an excellent chance of overtaking Michael van Gerwen and/or Nathan Aspinall. Smith has lost just one quarter-final in five weeks as he hunts down the top four however Aspinall will want to banish the memories for 2023 by securing a play-off spot this year.

Aspinall and Smith have met twice in the Premier League this year, including the final in Rotterdam on night twelve and it is Nathan Aspinall that has triumphed on both occasions.

Prediction: Nathan Aspinall
