PGA Championship: Get Paid Out Early If Your Selection Leads After Round 3 With BoyleSports

Simply place an outright bet on any player pre-tournament and if your selection is positioned as the outright leader after three rounds the bet will be settled as a win regardless of the final result.

The second golf major of the year takes place later this week as Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky prepares to host the PGA Championship. As we get set for four days of top-class golf at Valhalla, here at betting.bet you’ll find an in-depth preview of the tournament as we take a look at some of the market leaders and search the lower end of the betting markets for some real value.

In addition to our betting tips and analysis you’ll find the very best tournament odds and free sports bets from our partners at BoyleSports.

Given that BoyleSports pays out on all golf majors for up to 12 places, they have long been one of our favourite betting sites for golf betting but ahead of the PGA Championship they have introduced yet another offer that has really made them a standout golf betting option. Simply place an outright bet on any player pre-tournament and if your selection is positioned as the outright leader after three rounds the bet will be settled as a win regardless of the final result.

Scottie Scheffler: The Man To Beat

World number one, Scottie Scheffler will once again be the man to beat at Valhalla. The American is in excellent form having won both the Players’ Championship and Masters already this year. Scheffler has also won a couple of notable tournaments on this year’s PGA Tour, most recently when winning last month’s RBC Heritage as well as the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Likely Challengers

Valhalla has hosted the PGA Championship on three previous occasions, most recently in 2014. Rory McIlroy was the outright winner here ten years ago and the Northern Irishman is once again prominent in the betting as a desperate wait for a fifth major rolls on. McIlroy had barely turned 26 when winning his fourth major at Valhalla in August 2014 but he’s now closing in on ten subsequent years without another major. McIlroy has placed in each of the last two PGA Championships but he looks a little short in the market for us to consider as an outright winner.

Brooks Koepka finished well down the field in last month’s Masters but the three-time PGA Championship winner looked much more like his old self when winning LIV Golf Singapore earlier this month. Has all the required attributes to win at Valhalla and certainly justifies his position as one of the market leaders.

Each-Way Prospects

Bryson DeChambeau raced into a first round Masters lead thanks to a -7 round of 65 at Augusta. DeChambeau eventually faded to finish tied-sixth but he should again be respected at Valhalla. As one of the best players off the tee, DeChambeau should be right in the mix once more at Valhalla despite two recent underwhelming LIV performances.

Had it not been for a second round 77 at Augusta, Will Zalatoris would’ve been right in the mix at the Masters. Zalatoris did not feature in any major in 2023 after having back surgery but he has placed in four of the past five majors he has been involved in. The three-time major runner-up lost in a PGA Championship play-off in 2022 and he looks more than capable of another strong showing this week.
