5v5 Concept
Saturday’s fight night pits two rival promoters against one another as Frank Warren of Queensberry Promotions takes on Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn. Each promoter has picked five fighters to represent them. The winning promoter will be determined by a straightforward points system. One point will be given to each fight winner with a further bonus point given for a knockout. Both Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn have selected a team captain with captain points doubled. The team that accumulates the most points across the five fights will be declared the winners!

Zhilei Zhang | v | Deontay Wilder (captain) | Heavyweight |

Hamzah Sheeraz (captain) | v | Austin Williams | Middleweight |
Raymond Ford | v | Nick Ball | For WBA Featherweight title |
Willy Hutchinson | v | Craig Richards | Light-Heavyweight |
Zhilei Zhang v Deontay Wilder
A win or bust fight for two ageing heavyweights as both Zhang and Wilder look to bounce back from defeats to a resurgent Joseph Parker. Two explosive wins over Joe Joyce saw Zhilei Zhang on course for a first world title fight but his momentum was halted when he lost by majority decision to Parker on the Joshua v Ngannou undercard. At 41 years of age, Zhang cannot afford to lose on Saturday evening.
There are so many parallels between Zhang and Deontay Wilder as the Bronze Bomber looks to defy his advancing years having lost on points to Parker on an Anthony Joshua undercard. Wilder is trying to rebuild his career as an elite heavyweight after a third defeat in four fights when he lost by unanimous decision last December. The suggestions are that a couple of years of inactivity have left the former world champion in decline and he was a surprise inclusion in the Matchroom team.
With so much to lose, the matchup between two of the biggest-hitting heavyweights of their generation could prove explosive. Tough to call but don’t expect to hear that final bell in this bout.

Daniel Dubois v Filip Hrgovic
There is a potential world title fight on the table further down the line for the winner of this bout as the IBF’s number one challenger Filip Hrgovic defends his unbeaten record against Brit, Daniel Dubois. Hrgovic extended his professional record to 17-0 in December with a first round knockout win against Mark de Mori. Hrgovic has 14 wins in his 17 fights to date but his most notable win was a UD victory over the previously undefeated Zhilei Zhang in August 2022.
Daniel Dubois will feel he has unfinished business after his controversial world title fight against newly-crowned undisputed champion, Oleksandr Usyk. Dubois floored Usyk with a questionable low blow and he’ll be determined to earn a rematch against the Ukrainian. Dubois earned a tenth round stoppage win over Jarrell Miller in his last bout and has certainly turned the corner after losing his unbeaten record against Joe Joyce in November 2020.

Hamzah Sheeraz v Austin Williams
Hamzah Sheeraz announced himself on the middleweight stage as he knocked out former world title challenger Liam Williams inside one round in February. The 25-year-old now boasts a perfect 19-0 professional record with 15 wins coming inside the distance. Next up for the big-hitting fighter from Ilford is the equally-exciting American Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams. Ammo turned pro four years ago and has quickly racked up a 13-0 professional record having boxed on some of the biggest cards in the past few years including the undercards of Katie Taylor v Amanda Serrano and the third fights in the Canelo Alvarez v Gennady Golovkin and Juan Estrada v Chocolatito trilogies.

Raymond Ford v Nick Ball
Nick Ball has another chance to claim a world title following his controversial draw against WBC featherweight champion, Rey Vargas in March. Ball was the aggressor for much of the contest but according to the judges the 27-year-old did not do enough to wrestle the world title from the Mexican two-weight world champion. Saturday’s opponent representing Matchroom is the unbeaten WBA world champion, Raymond Ford. Ford has a 15-0-1 professional record and claimed the vacant world title with a 12th round stoppage against Otabek Kholmatov in March.

Willy Hutchinson v Craig Richards
The night will kick off with a battle of Britain as Scotland’s Willy Hutchinson takes on Englishman Craig Richards. Richards boasts considerably more experience than his Scottish opponent but has to bounce back from two losses in his last three fights. Richards has never been stopped but lost via a unanimous points decision to rival Joshua Buatsi as well as WBA light-heavyweight world champion, Dimitri Bivol. Saturday’s bout is his first outside of the UK.
Willy Hutchinson made a name for himself as one of Scotland’s most successful amateur boxers and after easing his way into the professional game, this is undoubtedly his toughest assignment to date. Hutchinson’s only defeat in 18 pro fights to date came when fighting for the vacant British and Commonwealth super-middleweight titles in March 2021. He currently holds the WBC's international light-heavyweight title.

Postponed Main Event
Whilst this unique 5v5 concept grabbed the majority of the headlines, Saturday's main event should've crowned an undisputed world champion at light-heavyweight. WBA champion, Dimitri Bivol was due to go toe-to-toe with WBC, IBF and WBO champion, Arthur Beterbiev. The fight between two undefeated fighters amongst the world's pound-for-pound best has not materialised due to a knee injury sustained by Beterbiev. Dimitri Bivol will still fight this weekend as he defends his world title against unbeaten Libyan, Malik Zinad. Bivol is priced at 1/40 to win on Saturday whilst Zinad is a huge outsider at 9/1.
