As we look ahead to the quarter-final matches at Roland Garros, we will offer betting tips and quarter-final news as well as the latest outright and match odds
The French Open men’s singles reaches the quarter-final stage on Tuesday and the competition remains finally poised as we head into week two. As we look ahead to the quarter-final matches at Roland Garros, we will offer betting tips and quarter-final news as well as the latest outright and match odds courtesy of popular online betting site bet365.
Grigor Dimitrov (10) v Jannik Sinner (2)
Jannik Sinner is one step closer to earning first position in the ATP’s world rankings as he prepares to take on Grigor Dimitrov in one of Tuesday’s quarter-final matches. Sinner won the Australian Open earlier this year but has struggled with injuries in recent weeks. The Italian withdrew from Barcelona, Madrid and Italian Opens due to an ongoing hip injury but seems to have shrugged off those issues at just the right time.
Grigor Dimitrov will play a first Grand Slam quarter-final since losing at this stage in the 2021 Australian Open. Dimitrov lost to Sinner in his only ATP Masters 1000 final appearance so far this year, losing 6-3 6-1 in the Miami Open. As long as Sinner’s hip holds up, he should once again prove too good for 33-year-old, Grigor Dimitrov

Stefanos Tsitsipas (9) v Carlos Alcaraz (3)
Carlos Alcaraz has improved year-on-year in his previous four French Open tournaments and the third seed is eyeing a second straight semi-final at Roland Garros. However, Alcaraz has missed three of the four ATP tournaments played on clay so far this year due to ongoing forearm problems. The two-time Grand Slam champion did win the Indian Wells Open back in March but his period of inactivity could be a problem against ninth seed, Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Tsitsipas was a losing finalist at Roland Garros back in 2021 and will be confident of progressing well beyond the quarter-final again this year. Tsitsipas kicked off his clay season by winning the Monte-Carlo Masters in April before following up by reaching the final of the Barcelona Open one week later. Tsitsipas looks most at ease on clay and also reached the quarter-final of last month’s Italian Open - he looks the most likely to upset the bookies’ odds when this week’s quarter-final matches get underway.

Alexander Zverev v Alex de Minaur (11)
Alex de Minaur overcame a first set loss to produce a shock win over fifth seed Daniil Medvedev in round four. The Australian will now contest his first Grand Slam quarter-final since the 2020 US Open as he takes on Alexander Zverev on Wednesday.
For the second straight match, Alexander Zverev had to come from two sets to one down to win a five-set thriller in round four. 13th seed Holger Rune put up an almighty fight but the German just proved too strong in a match that did not finish until 1:40am local time. Zverev had the best preparation possible for the French Open by claiming his first ATP Masters title since 2021 when winning last month’s Italian Open. Zverev is the bookies’ favourite to win this quarter-final tie on Wednesday but it remains to be seen how much Monday’s night’s late finish has taken out of the 27-year-old.

Novak Djokovic (1) v Casper Ruud (7)
Novak Djokovic overcame an almighty scare to edge past Francisco Cerundolo in round four. Struggling with a knee injury and complaining about the playing surface it looked like Djokovic was about to surrender his French Open title as he went a break down in the fourth set when already trailing 2-1 in sets. The most successful man in Grand Slam history somehow found a way to win but it remains to be seen how much the third and fourth round matches have taken out of the Serb.
In a repeat of last year’s final, Novak Djokovic’s quarter-final opponent is Norwegian seventh seed, Casper Ruud. Djokovic V Ruud is scheduled for Wednesday 4th June.
Ruud edged out Taylor Fritz in round four and remains on course for a third straight French Open final. Ruud warmed up for the French Open by winning the Geneva Open two weeks ago whilst he also enjoyed clay success at the Barcelona Open and impressed when reaching the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters.
