The French Open reaches the quarter-final stage on Tuesday as the competition remains wide-open with the top five seeds all safely through. As we look ahead to four intriguing last-eight matches scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, here at betting.bet we will provide match insights and betting tips as well as the latest quarter-final and outright odds courtesy of our betting partners at bet365.
Coco Gauff (3) v Ons Jabeur (8)
Coco Gauff has been arguably the best player so far at this year’s French Open. Guaff was a beaten finalist in both the singles and doubles events in 2022 and her clay form remains excellent as she marched into the quarter-finals at Roland Garros without dropping a set. Gauff has not won a WTA event since winning the Auckland Open in early January but warmed up for the French Open by reaching the semi-final of the Italian Open in early May.
Ons Jabeur cannot be taken lightly but the three-time losing Grand Slam finalist is probably better suited to other surfaces. Jabeur reached the quarter-final stage of the French Open for the first time last year and this may be the end of the road for her again in 2024.

Iga Swiatek (1) v Marketa Vondrousova (5)
World number one and three-time French Open champion Iga Swiatek remains on course for a third successive French Open title having eased to a 6-0 6-0 win over Anastasia Potapova in round four. Swiatek has won back-to-back WTA titles on clay, winning both the Madrid Open and Italian Open.
Swiatek’s quarter-final opponent, Marketa Vondrousova reached the final of the French Open as a teenager in 2019 but until this year had failed to make it past round two in each of the subsequent four French Open tournaments. Vondrousova’s tournament could’ve ended prematurely again this year as she went down 6-0 in the first set of her second round match against qualifier Katie Volynets however she has since bounced back with straight-set wins over Chloe Paquet and Olga Danilovic.

Jasmine Paolini (12) v Elena Rybakina (4)
Jasmine Paolini is the only quarter-finalist to have dropped sets in two of her four matches already in the competition and she looks right up against it against an Elena Rybakina that looks right at the top of her game. Rybakina has never been beyond the quarter-finals at Roland Garros but has already won three WTA titles in 2024 including on clay at the Stuttgart Open in April. Rybakina is yet to drop a set in this year’s French Open and looks good value at 4/6 to win this quarter-final match in straight sets.

Mirra Andreeva v Aryna Sabalenka (2)
Aryna Sabalenka has won the year’s only other Grand Slam having won a second straight Australian Open title earlier this year and the Belarusian is in excellent form having reached at least the semi-final in each of the past six Grand Slam tournaments. We’re now at the quarter-final stage of the year’s second Grand Slam tournament and Aryna Sabalenka is yet to drop a set. Sabalenka has lost on clay in back-to-back finals in WTA 1000 events to Iga Swiatek, losing both the Madrid Open and Italian Open. The two stand-out players in the women’s game look on course to contest yet another final this week but Aryna Sabalenka is our tip to go all the way.
