Saturday Super 6 - Barry Hill
Barry Hill gives us 6 value tips for Saturdays racing from Beverley, Chepstow, Haydock
After a dissaointing day yesterday Barry Hill, our resident tipster is looking to bounce back this Saturday. Barry has picked out a'banker' in the last race at Chepstow in the form of MARMALADE LADY who should get back to winning ways against limited opposition. Good luck!
2:05 Beverley
Hilary Needler Trophy EBF Fillies' Conditions Stakes (GBB/IRE Incentive Race)
MAW LAM - 9/2
In a wide-open affair, MAW LAM gets a tentative nod. She defied market expectations with an impressive debut win at Thirsk, despite showing some greenness, beating Mademoiselle into second place. She is expected to confirm her superiority over that rival and secure another victory. Larchill Lass has shown improvement with each start and deserves respect following a comfortable win at Carlisle last week. Sands Of Dubai and Invincible Annice are also worthy of careful consideration.
3:35 Haydock
Betfred John Of Gaunt Stakes (Group 3)
POGO - 6/1
Noble Dynasty led from start to finish, winning by two lengths in a Class 2 handicap at Newmarket, which gives him a rating of 110. If he runs to that level again, he stands a strong chance. However, the nod goes to POGO, who finished over two lengths ahead of Witch Hunter (third place) when second in the Spring Trophy over this track and trip last time. Charles Hills' eight-year-old seems the better choice, while Ramazan is another contender to keep an eye on.

MISS GITANA - 13/8
MISS GITANA came very close to securing her first win over C&D, building on her handicap debut where she finished fourth over 1m2f at Yarmouth. Sir Mark Prescott's filly is improving steadily, and a 2lb rise is unlikely to prevent her from breaking her maiden. Rogue King and Walter Hartright finished third and fourth in the same race here. Walter Hartright has a good chance of reversing the form with the addition of blinkers, while Rogue King needs to recover from a disappointing performance at Yarmouth.

TINTO - 12/1
Al Barez improved his career record to 5-10 with a back-to-back all-weather win at Southwell in April. While more is expected from Tom Clover's charge, TINTO could be worth a bet. The eight-year-old capitalized on a declining handicap mark to win at Thirsk three weeks ago and remains well-treated with just a 1lb increase, suggesting further success is possible. Other contenders to watch include Billyjoh and Radio Goo Goo.
7:00 Chepstow
KING OF WAR - 7/2
KING OF WAR concluded last season with a win over this track and distance, and made a strong return by finishing second at Brighton. This was his first race for Michael Wigham's stable, and another strong performance is anticipated. Hat Toss, who finished third at Leicester earlier this week, could be a contender, especially with the benefit of his rider's 5lb allowance. Flying Secret is also worth watching, as he will be racing with cheekpieces for the first time.

MARMALADE LADY - 5/6
MARMALADE LADY left her initial three unimpressive performances in novice company last year behind her when she placed in her handicap debut over 1m4f at Lingfield last month. Hughie Morrison's filly maintains the same rating and appears to be the one to beat. Tomorrow Day, who finished fifth over a mile at Bath last time, steps up significantly in distance and will wear cheekpieces for the first time, making him one to watch. Additionally, Exceptionality is another contender worth noting.
