Barry Hill looks to start of the week with a selection of short priced bankers.

SWATCH - 6/4
SWATCH is in good form, having won at Bath and finished third at Beverley. He could have been closer to the top two with a clear run, and the runner-up has since confirmed the form. Delta Legend, who won over this track and trip in his penultimate start, can also contend for his new trainer. Meanwhile, Another Thought is dropping in class and may finish closer as a result. SWATCH is around 6/4 and will likely shorten before the race gets underway.

TYSON - 15/8
Heading over to Ireland we can look to knockout the bookies with the aptly named 'TYSON'. If he jumps more fluently than on his recent hurdling debut, the Paul Nolan-trained TYSON can secure his first win. In his first ever race, the Lord Of England gelding overcame some novice mistakes to finish a commendable fifth out of 14. With that experience under his belt, he could perform much better now. Halla Paroiste has shown promise in mid-division in both of his runs over hurdles so far. While he might perform better in handicaps, this race doesn't appear particularly strong for the grade. Similar comments apply to the Bill Durkan-trained Lope De Light.

ARDEUR - 1/2
ARDEUR impressed with a fourth-place finish on her debut in a competitive event at York a couple of weeks ago. With that experience, she could be tough to beat. However, Lady Luzon has a similar profile and shouldn't be underestimated. Additionally, any market support for Misty Sky should be noted.
7:30 Pontefract
ESMERAY - 5/4
The chance of two quick fires in a row at Pontefract cant be ignored. Most of these have questions to answer right now, but not ESMERAY, who won over 1m2f at Lingfield a month ago. The step back up in trip should not be an issue for Ralph Beckett's filly, and a 2lb rise may not be enough to stop her in this company. Eleanor Cross didn't perform well last time but is a contender based on her previous efforts. Charging Thunder also deserves a spot on the shortlist.

MINELLA HOLLOW - 2/1
Wrapping up the day is another short priced favourite in MINELLA HOLLOW, who showed potential when winning a bumper 13 days ago, with the second and fourth-placed horses having previously been placed. As a half-brother to three winners, he was still a bit green at Ballinrobe but finished his race well. With likely improvement, he might defy top weight. Ballyburn's half-sister, Churchfield Sunset, was also green when winning on debut at Cork. With an excellent pedigree, she should improve with more racing. Dramatic License, out of a bumper-winning half-sister to Altior, carries the colours of leading owners, and it's encouraging to see him debut as a four-year-old. Bowensonfire, who cost 88,000 euros last year, is a half-brother to his trainer's dual winner, Rainbow Trail.
