BREAKING NEWS: UFC 303 Main Event Cancelled Due to McGregor Injury

It has been announced that the much-awaited headline event at UFC 303, featuring Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler, has been cancelled. McGregor, who was set to make his return to the octagon after a three-year break, has reported sustained an injury. As a result, his team has made the decision to cancel the flight scheduled for June 29th in Las Vegas.

UFC President Dana White made this announcement on Thursday night via X (formerly Twitter). He released the news that Alex Pereira will now face top-ranked contender Jiri Prochazka in Vegas.

"Conor McGregor is out of 303 vs Michael Chandler with an injury," wrote White.

White did not elaborate on the nature of McGregor's injury, leading to much speculation online. While many UFC fans are of the belief that McGregor is past it, others questioned the fighter's heart!

The first signal of trouble came when McGregor's news conference at the beginning of the month was suddenly cancelled, with the explanation provided.
