Daily Betting Tips - Monday

Monday's racing action comes from Chepstow, Carlisle & Windsor. Barry Hill has 6 selections for you.

With Royal Ascot starting tomorrow I want to start the week off well with 6 strong tips from todays racing. Yesterday we had a slow start however came back strong and almost finished off with a treble with 10/1 tipped RATHGAR being narrowly beat in the 6.16 Thirsk by the Jim Goldie trained LETSBEFRANK.

ALIGN THE STARS won just at 4/1 an hour earlier at Thirsk for Charlie Johnston and the day finished off well if you followed my tips.  Some shorter priced tips today however my value tip of the day is BISHOP'S CROWN in the 7.00 at Windsor and if we can forgive last time out, has a great chance at 7/1. Good luck!

Plan A Consulting Handicap (Chepstow Mile Series Qualifier)

STOCKPYLE - 8/11 (NAP)

STOCKPYLE, carrying 2lb less than expected, returned to form with a convincing win at Kempton last Wednesday, a performance that was more dominant than the official margin suggests. Since that race was an apprentice handicap, the five-year-old avoids a penalty and will be a formidable contender with his rider able to fully utilize the 7lb claim. Racing Demon’s hopes for a hat-trick were dashed at Windsor when he lost all chance at the start, finishing second-to-last. However, he is capable of a strong comeback, having secured a solid victory here in May. Additionally, a return to turf might benefit Optiva Star.

MANUELITO - 5/4

MANUELITO didn’t secure a win on the Flat last year, but since joining David Pipe's yard, he has triumphed in two of his four starts over hurdles. If he can bring his improving form from hurdles back to the Flat, he should be a strong contender. Ebony Maw is also in good form, having won over 1m5f at Ayr and coming close again at Hamilton. He appears more promising than Whatacracker, who won over a shorter distance here last summer and is still rated 4lb higher.

CONDOR PASA - 2/1

CONDOR PASA showed promise on the Kempton Polytrack earlier this year and, following a gelding operation, improved to finish second on his turf debut at Nottingham. Based on his performance relative to the third-place finisher, he should have an edge over Zoffandia. However, William Haggas' charge is likely to improve from his initial run and poses a significant threat. Qamari caught attention with his performance at Wolverhampton, while Aviemore might have been flattered by his narrow defeat over course and distance, but his competitors should not let him take an uncontested lead.

KALAMA SUNRISE - 15/8

KALAMA SUNRISE gets the nod, having thrived with the addition of cheekpieces to win over this track and trip. Jack Channon's filly carries just 2lb more, a manageable increase if the headgear continues to be effective. Bobacious showed promise on his handicap debut, and any improvement would make him a contender. Letter Of The Law is expected to be in the mix but may struggle against a few stronger rivals.

Fitzdares Sprint Series Qualifier Handicap (Windsor Sprint Series Qualifier)

BISHOP'S CROWN - 7/1

BISHOP'S CROWN spoiled his chances by hanging when favored at Goodwood, but he had been in excellent form before that, having finished second at the same venue after a victory over this course and distance in April. He deserves another chance. Amazonian Dream easily defeated Many A Star here last month, although the latter didn't have the best luck and could close the gap with a 6lb advantage. Home City's third-place finish at Doncaster indicates that he has winning potential soon, while Get It is an interesting contender returning from Bahrain.

HIGH SPIRITED - 5/1

Last year's winner Metabolt narrowly secured victory by a head over 7f at Leicester earlier this month and is now running off a 3lb higher mark. However, the preference is for HIGH SPIRITED, who delivered a strong performance to finish third over 1m2f here and is likely to benefit from this shorter distance. The daughter of Belardo will be racing with cheekpieces for the first time, which might bring about the necessary improvement. Nap Hand is expected to be in contention for the minor honors.
