Group Stage Update
Scotland got their Euro 2024 campaign off to a disastrous start as they lost 5-1 to hosts Germany on the opening night of the tournament. However, Steve Clarke’s side have since battled back to claim a 1-1 draw against Switzerland to give themselves an outside chance of qualifying for the knockout stage.
Hungary have lost back to back matches against Switzerland (3-1) and Germany (2-0) to sit on the brink of elimination. However, with four of the six best-performing third placed teams set to qualify for the round of 16, they still retain hopes for progressing.
Team News
Scotland have been dealt a major fitness blow ahead of this crucial fixture after confirmation that Kieran Tierney will miss the rest of Euro 2024 with a hamstring injury.
Ryan Porteous will also sit out Sunday’s fixture as he serves the final game of a two-match ban after his red card against Germany.
Hungary have no injury concerns but are likely to ring the changes ahead of this must-win fixture. Cult hero Martin Adam is amongst a number of changes that may be selected from the start on Sunday.
