Treble Maker - June 26th

Here at betting.bet we’ve narrowed the day’s 42 races down to three intriguing tips in races at Salisbury, Carlisle and Kempton

It was a bad day at the office for our resident tipster when compiling Monday’s Treble Maker bet; however today we dust ourselves off and go again. There are six race meetings across the UK and Ireland on Wednesday including a jumps meeting at Worcester as well as further cards scheduled for this afternoon at both Carlisle and Salisbury. Later this evening there are three more meetings including racing at Ffos Las and Naas and an AW card at Kempton.

Here at betting.bet we’ve narrowed the day’s 42 races down to three intriguing tips in races at Salisbury, Carlisle and Kempton. Today’s odds are provided by our betting partners at AK Bets.

2:45 - Salisbury

Juddmonte EBF Restricted Novice Stakes (Bands C/D) (EBF Restricted Race Qualifier) (GBB Race)

BRIGHTON BOY - 6/1

Sergio Parisse won a 15 runner maiden at Windsor last time out despite running green throughout. Went off as favourite that day and certainly justified the market support. More improvement to come and trainer Clive Cox has a solid record with two-year-olds. The one to beat here.

Tanager comes next in the betting but we feel he may find this a little quick and likely to need further. The main danger could be Brighton Boy for respected trainer Andrew Balding. Showed plenty of promise when green on debut. Slowly away but finished just 4½ lengths off race winner Pentle Bay. The race winner has since gone on to finish second behind Bedtime Story in the Chesham Stakes on day five of Royal Ascot. Despite being weak in the market, Barry’s Boy could prove the best of the newcomers.

3:05 - Carlisle

SEA THUNDER - 13/8

The only three-year-old in the race, Sea Thunder has looked solid in two handicap races without winning this year. Put in a career-best performance at Leicester last time out and certainly looks the progressive sort.

Gallant Lion looks the main danger despite finishing behind Born Ruler last time out. Meanwhile Ravenscraig Castle could be of interest at a bigger price. Won over C&D here in 2021 and was second in last year’s renewal of this race. First-time blinkers applied and certainly capable of pinching a place.

5:00 - Kempton

VIRIDIAN - 7/4

Viridian was only beaten by a neck at Brighton last week and heads to Kempton on the same useful mark. First-time visor applied today and is very popular in the betting. Nearest challengers are likely to be Electrified and Scarlet Lady on their handicap debuts but both would have to show considerable improvements if they are to get close to our pick.

Treble Maker Odds - 49.53/1

  • Brighton Boy (6/1)
  • Sea Thunder (13/8)
  • Viridian (7/4)
