Wimbledon: Men’s Singles Semi-Finals - Fixtures & Betting Tips

Here at betting.bet we’ll preview both semi-finals, including betting tips, free bet offers and the latest odds
Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic remain on course to contest a second successive Wimbledon men’s singles final after both players made it through their respective quarter-final matches. As we look ahead to Friday’s action, here at betting.bet we’ll preview both semi-finals, including betting tips, free bet offers and the latest odds from our betting partners at Unibet.
Daniil Medvedev v Carlos Alcaraz
Fifth seed Daniil Medvedev caused a shock in the quarter-final as he defeated world number one Jannik Sinner in a five-set thriller. Less than one set was played in Medvedev’s fourth round match against Grigor Dimitrov before the Bulgarian retired through injury and that additional rest probably proved the difference against Sinner.
Carlos Alcaraz survived an early scare in his quarter-final match before securing what proved to be a fairly comfortable win against American Tommy Paul on Wednesday. Carlos Alcaraz dropped the first set of the quarter-final tie but bounced back to progress in four sets (5-7 6-4 6-2 6-2).
Carlos Alcaraz has won four of his six previous matches against Daniil Medvedev, most recently in the final of this year’s Indian Wells Open. The two rivals have twice met at Wimbledon, Medvedev won in straight sets against an 18-year-old Carlos Alacaraz in the second round back in 2021 before the Spaniard avenged that loss by winning in straight sets at the semi-final stage of last year’s tournament.

Lorenzo Musetti v Novak Djokovic
Novak Djokovic is eyeing a record-equalling eighth Wimbledon title and he’s going to take some stopping at the All England Club. Djokovic won in straight sets against Holger Rune in round four before lambasting the Centre Court crowd in the aftermath of Monday’s impressive win.
Djokovic has struggled with injuries in 2024, culminating in his withdrawal from the French Open last month. Therefore he’ll certainly welcome the additional rest he’s been afforded following his quarter-final walkover after the withdrawal of Australian Alex de Minaur.
Novak Djokovic’s semi-final opponent Lorenzo Musetti is the lowest-ranked player left in the competition having overcome American Taylor Fritz in a five-set quarter-final match. The draw has been kind to Musetti as the two highest seeds in his section of the draw both suffered early exits. Musetti couldn’t met Andrey Rublev in round three and Stefanos Tsitsipas in round four both players were eliminated within the first two rounds.
Djokovic and Musetti have met on six previous occasions with Djokovic win five times compared to just one win for Lorenzo Musetti. The semi-final opponents have met twice this year with Djokovic winning both. The Serb won in straight sets at the Monte Carlo Masters before winning in five sets in their thrilling French Open third round tie.
