Treble Maker - July 15th
Today’s Treble Maker incudes races at Ayr, Wolverhampton and Windsor
Following the abandonment of Monday’s Newton Abbot meeting, there are five remaining race meetings across the UK and Ireland. The two afternoon cards take place at Ayr and Downpatrick. This evening there is flat racing at Killarney and Windsor as well as an AW meeting at Wolverhampton.
There are a total of 35 races across the five cards and here at betting.bet we’ve narrowed this down to three tips as part of Monday’s daily treble. Today’s Treble Maker incudes races at Ayr, Wolverhampton and Windsor and features odds from our betting partners at BoyleSports.
3:28 - Ayr
Fergie & Myra Happel Ayr Gold Cup Trial Handicap
MYTHICAL PHOENIX - 4/1
The feature race at Ayr on Monday is the Ayr Gold Cup Trial and race favourite Alfa Kellenic has been tipped to make light work of another big jump in the weights. The talented filly has won three successive races but has probably not yet reached her ceiling. Apprentice jockey William Pyle has taken 5lbs off in each of those three wins but he is injured today and replaced by experienced jockey Tom Eaves - this extra weight could open the door to one of the main challengers.
Batal Zabeel has been well-supported for respected trainer Kevin Ryan but the fact Tom Eaves is opting to ride Alfa Kellenic instead could be telling. Aberama Gold ran well in this race twelve months ago and is now on a very workable mark after a series of sub-par runs so far this year. He is likely to return to winning ways sooner rather than later but preference on Monday is for Mythical Phoenix. The four-year-old has finished second on all four runs for new trainer Julie Camacho but he’s nudged up just 1lb since being beaten by a neck for a second straight race last month. Cheekpieces retained from Doncaster run and he could be set to go one better on Monday.
6:40 - Wolverhampton

COCONUT BAY - 9/2
Kodebreaker ended a long losing streak in comfortable fashion at Yarmouth last week and commands respect back on the AW. Nudged up 5lbs for that seven-length win five days ago but he will be right in the mix based on that form.
However, Kodebreaker was well-held by Coconut Bay over C&D in May and the latter continued his solid form with two solid runs on turf since. Figures of 4222133 since stepping down to 7f highlight his potential.
7:20 - Windsor
Fitzdares Sprint Series Handicap (Windsor Sprint Series Qualifier)
TIGER BAY - 6/1
Mezzo Soprano lost her unbeaten run last time out as she was narrowly defeated over 7f at Thirsk. Remains unexposed and could get to winning ways on Monday. However, at odds of just 6/4, we have to take her on here. Beyond Borders is yet to get going as a three-year-old after an excellent juvenile season but may be best watched here. Tiger Bay could prove the best value in the field after successive second place finishes this year. Second over C&D last time out despite hanging left and returns on the same mark.

- Coconut Bay (9/2)
