bettingsites.co.uk 'Training Series' Apprentice Handicap (Part Of The Racing Excellence Series)
BAMA LAMA - 7/1
Vape won for a second time over C&D in July and returns to the course after a disappointing run at Windsor last time out. Only 2lbs higher than his previous winning mark and certainly capable of resuming this year’s solid progress back at his preferred course.
However, Vape is not the only dual C&D winner set to contest the bettingsites.co.uk 'Training Series' Apprentice Handicap on Thursday and Bama Lama could defy a drift in the betting by returning to the winners enclosure for trainer Rod Millman. Bama Lama got the better of Vape, albeit on worse terms, over track and trip in June and won a 5f handicap at Ffos Las last month. Only 1lb higher than her last winning mark and could prove real value at 7/1.

SAHARA DANCER - 3/1
There is an interesting newcomer in the second race of the afternoon with the Archie Watson-trained Sahara Dancer, the current market leader. Half-sister and stablemate to Rhythm N Hooves who has proved extremely useful over the past couple of years. The booking of jockey Hollie Doyle could be telling for an in-form yard that is also represented in the race by Forteleza.
Queue Dos and Nala Star were both beaten favourites last time out and could bounce back on Thursday. Queue Dos was no match for the winner last time out but did run on well for second whilst Nala Star has had four previous runs over 5f and could appreciate the extra furlong at Chepstow.

KALAMA SUNRISE - 3/1
Kalama Sunrise landed a four-timer across June and July including two wins over C&D whilst she has remained in good form in two subsequent second place finishes. Most recent run was off Thursday’s mark and a 5lb claimer from jockey Rose Dawes should see her competitive once more.
Beautiful Crown and Darysina Gold both won last time out and of the pair, Darysina Gold is likely to be the biggest threat to our selection Kalama Sunrise. Darysina Gold is up 3lbs for her win at Bath last time out but she’ll relish the quick ground and cannot be ruled out.
