With some intriguing fixtures taking place across the weekend, there is plenty of value to be had from a betting perspective. Here at betting.bet we have picked out three intriguing selections and as well as exclusive match insights and tips you can find the latest pre-match odds courtesy football betting site, Betway.
Premier League Treble Odds - 5.67/1
- Fulham to win - 4/5
- Arsenal to win - 31/40
- Chelsea to win - 31/40
Fulham v Leicester City
Fulham were unlucky to leave Old Trafford without at least a point last weekend and Marco Silva’s side could prove a real dark horse in the battle for European qualification this season. New signing Sander Berge is unlikely to start but could be named amongst the substitutes for the hosts. Fellow summer signing Emile Smith Rowe enjoyed a solid pre-season following his switch from Arsenal and could prove a shrewd pick at 11/5 to score at any time.
Leicester City held Spurs to a 1-1 draw at home on their return to the top flight on Monday but the Foxes may struggle without the home crowd behind them this weekend. We’re backing Fulham to take all three points whilst we’re expecting to see a few goals at Craven Cottage. There were under 2.5 match goals in both games involving these sides last weekend but Fulham created plenty of scoring opportunities whilst Leicester City’s seven shots on goal is quite impressive given they earned just 29.5% possession against Spurs. Fulham won home and away when these sides met in 2022/23 with the fixture in West London ending 5-3 in the home side’s favour.
Fulham v Leicester City: Bet Builder - 9/2
- Fulham to win
- Over 2.5 match goals
- Emile Smith Rowe - Anytime Goalscorer
Aston Villa v Arsenal
Probably the biggest game of the weekend as two of last season’s top four meet at Villa Park and Arsenal have a score to settle on Saturday evening. The Gunners lost 2-0 to Aston Villa at the Emirates in April in what proved to be their only league defeat in 2024. That loss cost Arsenal a first league title since 2004 and Mikel Arteta’s side are once again amongst the favourites to win the Premier League this season.
Both Aston Villa and Arsenal kicked off their seasons with three points, winning against West Ham United and Wolves respectively. Whilst Aston Villa’s win at the London Stadium was impressive, Arsenal looked ominously good as they eased to a 2-0 win over Wolves without getting out of second gear.
In the absence of a real out-and-out centre forward, Arsenal will be encouraged by the performances of both Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka against Wolves and they will once again play a key role at Villa Park on Saturday.
Arsenal committed 17 fouls against Wolves last weekend and a similar number in front of a packed Holte End is likely to see the Gunners rack up the cards.
Aston Villa v Arsenal: Bet Builder - 17/4
- Arsenal to win
- Bukayo Saka - Anytime Goalscorer
- Over 3.5 cards
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Chelsea
Wolves and Chelsea lost 2-0 to Arsenal and Manchester City respectively on the opening weekend but we’re backing Chelsea to bounce back, despite the ongoing circus around the club. Much has been made of Chelsea’s bulging squad but Enzo Maresca already looks like he’s settled on a core 15/16 players and the likes of Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku always give you a fighting chance.
The Blues should win at Molineux and Wolves’ wait for a first goal this season could continue for another week at least. Chelsea to win to nil is excellent value at 23/10 whilst this will also feature in our Bet Builder.
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Chelsea: Bet Builder - 6/1
- Chelsea to win
- Both Teams To Score - No
- Christopher Nkunku - Anytime Goalscorer
