Liverpool v Nottingham Forest
LIVERPOOL to win - 11/50
Bonus Bet: Liverpool to win to nil - 2/5
Liverpool have made a dream start to life under Arne Slot winning all three Premier League games played this season without conceding a single goal. The Reds’ 3-0 win against fierce rivals Manchester United was a real morale-boosting result and they should be far too strong for Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Nottingham Forest have actually made a decent start to the new season and remain unbeaten with one win and two draws from their three games so far. However a return of just three goals scored in three matches could prove their undoing when they visit Anfield at the weekend. Liverpool to win to nil is priced at 2/5.
In what could prove to be his final season at Liverpool, Mohamed Salah has made a superb start to the new season. Salah scored for the third successive game during his Player of the Match performance against Manchester United and is generously priced at 3/4 to score for a fourth straight league game on Saturday.
Aston Villa v Everton
ASTON VILLA to win - 1/2
Bonus Bet: Aston Villa to score over 2.5 team goals - 33/20
The 212th edition of the most played fixture in English football history takes place at Villa Park on Saturday as Aston Villa host Everton in one of the day’s evening kick-offs. The two iconic football clubs have experienced highly contrasting fortunes on and off the field in recent years and it is Aston Villa that we’re tipping to earn all three points this weekend.
Aston Villa lost 2-0 against Arsenal in their only previous home league game this season but their form at Villa Park during the 2023/24 campaign cannot be underestimated. Meanwhile Saturday’s visitors Everton are rock-bottom of the Premier League thanks to three successive defeats and the Toffees boast the division’s worst defensive record having conceded ten goals in their three games so far.
Everton’s only away league game so far this season produced a one-sided 4-0 defeat at Spurs and last season’s trip to Villa Park was settled in Aston Villa’s favour by that same 4-0 scoreline. Everton fans have every right to be worried and we’re backing Aston Villa to score over 2.5 team goals on Saturday at 33/20. Former Toffee Amadou Onana has opened the scoring in both of Aston Villa’s wins so far this season and he is priced at 16/1 to score first for a third time in four league games.
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Newcastle United
DRAW - 11/4
Bonus Bet: Correct score (1-1) - 23/4
Newcastle United have made an unbeaten start to the new season with their 2-1 win at home to Spurs last time out particularly encouraging. On Sunday they take on a Wolves side languishing in the bottom three with just a single point earned at Nottingham Forest to show for their first three league games.
Not only do Newcastle United boast far superior recent form but their head-to-head record against Wolves is excellent. The Magpies won 3-0 at St James Park in March in their most recent meeting whilst Wolves have won just one of their past eleven league games against Sunday’s opponents. However, seven of those eleven matches ended all-square and the draw looks the most sensible bet this weekend at 11/4.
Hwang Hee-Chan flew out of the traps last season, scoring six goals in Wolves’ first ten league games and whilst he has not hit those heights in three games this season he has to be respected. The South Korea international has scored three times in Newcastle United’s last three visits to Molineux and if he starts on Sunday, he could be real value at 3/1 to score at any time for the home side.
