UEFA Nations League Acca Odds - 39/20
- Moldova to win (7/20)
- England to win (7/25)
- Turkey to win (4/11)
- Germany to win (1/4)
Moldova v Andorra
Moldova to win - 7/20
Moldova are head and shoulders above the other nations in Group D2 but remain extremely backable at rather favourable odds. Moldova’s home form is particularly impressive, winning four and drawing three of their past eight home internationals. Over the past two years Moldova have avoided defeat in matches against Czech Republic, Poland (twice), Austria and Albania yet remain 149th in the official FIFA world rankings. This false position leaves them far shorter in the betting than their results over the past 18 months would suggest. Andorra head to Chisinau winless in nineteen internationals and sit bottom of Group D2 thanks to a 1-0 home defeat to Malta during the last international window.
England v Greece
England to win - 7/25
Both England and Greece head into Thursday’s meeting with a 100% record and no goals conceded. Something’s got to give at Wembley Stadium and we are of course tipping Lee Carsley’s Three Lions to maintain their perfect starting to their Nations League campaign. All-time record scorer Harry Kane has been passed fit to play whilst the likes of Jude Bellingham, Cole Palmer and Phil Foden will feature for the first time in the current Nations League campaign.
Greece have been handed a significant blow with Panathinaikos forward Fotis Ioannidis set to miss out on Thursday. Ioannidis scored three times in his country’s first two Nations League matches but picked up an injury in Panathinaikos’ goalless draw at home to fierce rivals Olympiacos at the weekend.
Turkey v Montenegro
Turkey to win - 4/11
Top host bottom in Group B4 as Turkey welcome Montenegro to the Samsun 19 Mayıs Stadium on Friday evening. Turkey were the bookies’ favourite to top the group before a ball was kicked and four points from matches against Wales (away) and Iceland (home) was a solid way to kick off their Nations League campaign. The Euro 2024 quarter-finalists should prove too strong for a Montenegro side that have lost four straight internationals, including back-to-back Nations League defeats against Iceland and Wales. Turkey are unbeaten in all four internationals played against an independent Montenegro, winning 2-1 away in Podgorica when the sides last met in November 2021.
Bosnia & Herzegovina v Germany
Germany to win - 1/4
After a difficult few years Germany are once again starting to emerge as a real force in international football. Excluding extra-time, Germany are unbeaten in all eleven internationals played so far in 2024. However they did lose 2-1 after extra-time against eventual winners Spain in the Euro 2024 semi-final. Germany kicked off their Nations League campaign with a convincing 5-0 win at home to Hungary before playing out an entertaining 2-2 draw away at Netherlands last time out.
Friday’s hosts Bosnia & Herzegovina drew 0-0 at Hungary last time out to halt a run of seven successive international defeats. Liechtenstein are the only nation to have suffered a loss at the hands of Bosnia & Herzegovina in 14 internationals.
