Cardiff City v Portsmouth

Cardiff City to win - 10/11

Cardiff City climbed off the bottom of the Championship table at the weekend thanks to an impressive 5-0 win over relegation rivals Plymouth Argyle and on Tuesday evening they face another relegation six-pointer at the Cardiff City Stadium as they host Portsmouth. Incredibly, 5-0 did not flatter Cardiff City and they finally look to be clicking under interim boss Omer Riza.

Portsmouth claimed their first league win of the season away at QPR on Saturday but they were probably second best throughout the game in West London and a second win in a week may be beyond John Mousinho’s side.

Hull City v Burnley

Burnley to win - 33/20

Hull City have lost back-to-back Championship matches to drop into the bottom half of the table. Sunday’s defeat at home to Sunderland was a game of very little quality and chances. Hull City’s home form remains a real cause for concern with just one win in six in all competitions this season at the MKM Stadium.

Burnley are the visitors to Hull City on Wednesday evening and arrive in superb form. Burnley won 2-0 at Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend to extend their unbeaten run in the league to seven matches. Boasting the league’s best defensive record, Burnley have conceded just four goals all season, keeping four straight clean sheets.

Burton Albion v Wycombe Wanderers

Wycombe Wanderers to win - 10/13

Wycombe Wanderers have quietly climbed the League One table with a run of eight league games without defeat. Matt Bloomfield’s side started the season with successive defeats against Wrexham and Birmingham City but have won six and drawn two of eight games since.

On Tuesday, Wycombe Wanderers travel to a Burton Albion side that side bottom of the table with no wins and just four points from their opening ten matches. Burton Albion have conceded at least two goals in all six league games played throughout September and October and lost 2-1 at Bolton Wanderers at the weekend.

Stevenage v Cambridge United

Stevenage to win - 13/20

Stevenage and Cambridge United produced two of the best results of the weekend winning against Mansfield Town and Wigan Athletic respectively but on Tuesday we’re tipping Stevenage to come out on top. Stevenage have won three of their last four league games but remain the second-lowest goalscorers in the division. The only side to score fewer goals than Stevenage in League One this season are Tuesday’s opponents Cambridge United.

Cambridge United moved off the bottom of the table with their 2-0 win at home to Wigan Athletic on Saturday but remain deep in the relegation mire having taken just one point from nine matches prior to that. Cambridge United have lost all five away league games this season and stretching back into last season they are now winless on the road in eight matches.

Walsall v Carlisle United

Walsall to win - 11/20

Walsall won for the first time in three league games at the weekend taking a convincing 4-1 win at Grimsby Town and now sit just two points off the top of the table. Walsall’s last home league game produced a shock 6-2 defeat against Fleetwood Town however they had won their previous four home league games.

Tuesday’s visitors to the Bescot Stadium are a Carlisle United side that have taken just two points from their last five matches. Carlisle United drew 1-1 at home to Harrogate at the weekend but have won just one of their past seven away league games stretching back to April.
