Bristol Rovers v Weston-Super-Mare
Weston-Super-Mare to win - 6/1
We have a local derby to look forward to at the Memorial Stadium and high-flying Weston-Super-Mare could spring a shock against Bristol Rovers. Weston-Super-Mare are top of National League South and unbeaten in 15 matches in all competitions whilst two defeats in their last three league games have seen Bristol Rovers slump to 17th in League One.
Rochdale v Bromley
Rochdale to win - 11/8
A decade ago it would’ve been inconceivable to think that Rochdale would be underdogs in an FA Cup tie at home to Bromley but that’s where both clubs currently find themselves. Rochdale’s 102-year stay in the Football League ended when they were relegated to the National League at the end of the 2022/23 season embroiled in financial turmoil. However, the Ogden family’s summer takeover of the club has created a brighter future at Rochdale and that feel-good factor has transferred onto the pitch with The Dale pushing for promotion back to League Two. Bromley make the long trip north on the back of just one win in ten league games and are now languishing in 18th in League Two.
Tranmere Rovers v Oldham Athletic
Oldham Athletic to win - 19/10
Tranmere Rovers have lost three of their last four league games and have now won just one in nine in League Two to slump to 19th in the league table. Scoring goals has been a major problem for Tranmere Rovers with the League Two strugglers netting just eight goals in 13 league games this season and losing back-to-back home games without scoring. Oldham Athletic head to Prenton Park on the back of just one defeat in 14 in all competitions and boast one of the National League’s best away records, losing just one of eight league games on the road this season. The Latics are fifth in the National League and well in the mix for promotion.
Worthing v Morecambe
Worthing to win - 27/10
Worthing head into the weekend just two points off top spot in National League South and host a Morecambe side that are rock bottom of League Two and already five points from safety. Worthing have won four of their last five whilst Morecambe have just one win in 14 league games all season. In all probability they’ll be in the same league next season yet the team that has a 700-mile round trip ahead of them are odds-on. A home win looks incredible value.
