Derby County v Plymouth Argyle

Derby County to win - 8/13

Wayne Rooney returns to his former club on Saturday and unfortunately for Rooney and his Plymouth Argyle side, we’re anticipating a home win at Pride Park. Derby County finally earned their first away win of the season in midweek as they claimed a 2-1 win at Coventry City. However, the Rams have proved far more effective at home with four wins from six home league games this season.

Plymouth earned an invaluable three points at home to Portsmouth last time out but their away record is the worst in the league and they remain winless on the road. In seven away league games, Plymouth Argyle have lost six and drawn one by an aggregate 16-1 scoreline.

Cardiff City v Blackburn Rovers

Cardiff City to win - 5/4

Cardiff City may have lost at Luton Town in midweek but they remain one of the most in-form sides in Championship having gone unbeaten in six matches before their trip to Kenilworth Road on Wednesday evening. The Bluebirds have put together a run of four straight home league wins, conceding just one goal during that sequence. On Saturday they welcome Blackburn Rovers to the Cardiff City Stadium with the visitors in free-fall on the back of three straight defeats. Blackburn Rovers are yet to win away from home this season with three draws and three defeats in six away league games.

Crawley Town v Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town to win - 4/6

Huddersfield Town make the long trip south to Crawley Town on Saturday as one of the division’s most in-form sides. The Terriers have taken ten points from their last four league games with their only dropped points coming in a 0-0 draw away at high-flying Wrexham. Saturday’s hosts, Crawley Town won their first two matches of the season but have won just one of their subsequent 12 league games to drop into the relegation zone.

Wigan Athletic v Wycombe Wanderers

Wycombe Wanderers to win - 13/10

Wycombe Wanderers stormed to the top of the League One table on Tuesday evening with their 5-0 win away at Stockport County a fifth straight league win. The new league leaders now travel to a Wigan Athletic side languishing in 19th and winless in four league games. Wigan Athletic have won just two of their six home league games so far and look right up against it on Saturday afternoon.

MK Dons v Swindon Town

MK Dons to win - 4/5

MK Dons have recovered from a slow start to the new season by climbing up to eighth in League Two with three straight league wins. The Dons have to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing 2-0 defeat at home to fierce rivals AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup but are more than capable of doing just that. Scott Lindsey’s side have lost just one home league game since the opening weekend of the season and that defeat came against table toppers Port Vale. Swindon Town are Saturday’s visitors to Stadium MK and do so on the back of just one league win in their last eight. The Robins possess a poor away record, winning just one of their seven league games away from the County Ground so far this season.
