YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul faces his biggest challenge to date this weekend as he takes on former undisputed heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson in an eight-round fight at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. As we look ahead to this intriguing bout, here at betting.bet we’ll provide a comprehensive fight preview including broadcasting information, fight insights and exclusive betting tips as well as the latest fight odds from our partners at DAZN Bet.
Fight Background And Rules
Sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, this weekend’s fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson is a fully sanctioned professional fight. The bout will be contested over eight two-minute rounds with the fighters set to wear 14oz gloves. An age difference of 30 years and 7 months is the largest in professional boxing history.
Tale Of The Tape
Jake Paul has eleven previous professional bouts, winning ten and losing by split decision to Tommy Fury in February 2023. Seven of Paul’s ten wins have come by stoppage, most recently when defeating Mike Perry with a sixth round knockout.
Mike Tyson’s CV is far more comprehensive with the former undisputed heavyweight world champion set to fight professionally for the 59th time. Tyson is the youngest ever heavyweight world champion and has won 50 of his previous 58 bouts, including each of the first 37. Tyson’s last pro fight was against Kevin McBride in June 2005 where he quit at the end of the sixth round.

Betting Tips
Iron Mike Tyson is without doubt one of the greatest heavyweights of all time but the fighter we’re likely to see this weekend is not just a shadow of the man that became world champion as a twenty year old but he is now 19 years older than when he was stopped by journeyman Kevin McBride in his last pro fight. Sadly, Jake Paul will prove too fast and essentially too young for Tyson to pose any real danger. Jake Paul is priced generously at 4/11 to win the bout.
Whilst Tyson may not have the explosive power that earned him the nickname ‘the Baddest Man on the Planet’ we expect him to display enough punch resistance to last eight two-minute rounds against a novice boxer taken the distance by UFC stars Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley. Jake Paul to win on points looks a hugely logical betting proposition at 27/10.
Boxing purists would almost unanimously like to see Mike Tyson claim an unlikely victory at the weekend and Iron Mike’s best hope would be an early stoppage. Tyson will not want to go deep into this bout and he is available at 9/1 to win in rounds 1-2 or 12/1 to win in 3-4 rounds.

The Co-Main Event & Undercard
The co-main event at the AT&T Stadium is the much-anticipated rematch between undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring female lightweight champion Katie Taylor and seven-weight world champion Amanda Serrano. Two of the all-time greats in women’s boxing, Taylor and Serrano met at Madison Square Garden in 2022 with Taylor emerging victorious via a split decision.
Taylor has since lost her unbeaten record, losing by a majority decision to Chantelle Cameron in May 2023 but bounced back to avenge that loss six months later. Amanda Serrano has remained active since losing to Taylor, winning five successive bouts, most recently against Stevie Morgan in July of this year.
There are five further bouts scheduled for the undercard, the highlight of which is a WBC welterweight world title fight between champion Mario Barrios and challenger Abel Ramos.
Below is the evening’s card in full:
- Jake Paul v Mike Tyson
- Katie Taylor v Amanda Serrano
- Mario Barrios v Abel Ramos
- Neeraj Goyat v Whindersson Nunes
- Shadasia Green v Melinda Watpool
- Lucas Bahdi v Corey Marksman
- Bruce Carrington v Dana Coolwell
