Form

Prior to their Nations League campaign, Turkey had lost five of their nine internationals in 2024 yet they top Group B4 with ten points from their four games. The group leaders opened their account with a battling 0-0 draw away to Wales in Cardiff but have since won three straight games against Iceland (twice) and Montenegro

Wales remain unbeaten in four matches under new manager Craig Bellamy having won two and drawn two of their first four UEFA Nations League fixtures. Eight points in four matches leaves Wales two points adrift of group leaders and Saturday's hosts Turkey.

Last time out, Turkey came from behind to win 4-2 away at Iceland and Wales earned a 1-0 win at home to Montenegro.

Turkey v Wales: Head-to-Head

Turkey are unbeaten in three internationals against Wales but have been held to a draw in each of the last two. In the reverse fixture during the current Nations League campaign, Turkey escaped with a goalless draw in Cardiff despite playing the last half an hour with ten men.

Betting Tips

Craig Bellamy’s Wales may come unstuck in front of a hostile Turkish crowd on Saturday and consequently a home win could prove great value at 8/11.

Seven of Turkey’s eight Nations League goals scored so far have been scored in the second half whilst all five goals for Wales have been scored before the break. Wales are priced at 18/5 to be leading at half-time. In the half-time / full-time market, Wales to be leading at half-time and Turkey to win the match is incredibly tempting at 9/1. Turkey to come from behind to win is also worth real consideration at 15/2.

Two of the Nations League’s most prolific goal scorers will feature at the HG Enertürk Enerji Stadyumu on Saturday with Kerem Akturkoglu (4) and Harry Wilson (3) netting a combined seven goals for their respective nations already. Both players will feature prominently in the various goalscorer markets and can be backed at 7/4 or 9/2 respectively to score at any time.
