EFL Weekend Acca - Saturday Special (30th November)
Millwall, Watford, Coventry City, West Bromwich Albion & Crewe Alexandra to win - 35/1
The FA Cup second round has decimated the EFL schedule this weekend with just twelve fixtures taking place on Saturday across the Championship, League One and League Two. However, a dozen fixtures in the EFL still offer plenty of betting opportunities and our resident tipsters have put together a five-fold accumulator bet that pays out at odds of 35/1 with Unibet.
EFL Acca Odds - 35/1
- Millwall to win (6/5)
- Watford to win (41/50)
- Coventry City to win (13/20)
- West Bromwich Albion to win (7/5)
- Crewe Alexandra to win (6/4)
Oxford United v Millwall
Millwall to win - 6/5
For Oxford United the reality of stepping up from League One to the Championship looks to have finally hit home with Des Buckingham’s side slumping to three straight defeats and a return of just one win in twelve league games. Oxford United’s last home game ended in a convincing 6-2 defeat against Middlesbrough and now they take on a Millwall side unbeaten in eight league games. Millwall head to the Kassam Stadium well-rested with their postponed midweek fixture meaning they have had a full week off ahead of Saturday's trip to Oxford.
Watford v Queens Park Rangers
Watford to win - 41/50
QPR won a league game for the first time since August on Wednesday evening but their resurgence may be short lived as they make the short trip to in-form Watford on Saturday. Watford boast the best home record in the Championship this season with seven wins and one draw from their eight league games at Vicarage Road. The Hornets weren’t at their best against Bristol City in midweek but managed to grind out a 1-0 win. We’re expecting them to be much-improved against QPR.
Coventry City v Cardiff City
Coventry City to win - 13/20
Frank Lampard has been handed a perfect start to life as Coventry City manager as he prepares to oversee a home fixture against struggling Cardiff City. The Sky Blues are now winless in four league games but Saturday’s visitors from South Wales arrive at the Coventry Building Society Arena on the back of an abject home performance against QPR on Wednesday evening. The Managerless Bluebirds are just one point above the Championship relegation zone and have failed to win any of their eight away league games so far this season.
Preston North End v West Bromwich Albion
West Bromwich Albion to win - 7/5
Preston North End are certainly better at home than they are away with 13 of their 17 points this season earned at Deepdale. However on Saturday they’ll host a West Bromwich Albion side that boast the Championship’s best away record. The Baggies have lost just one of their nine away league games this season, amassing a league-high 16 points on the road. With only 11 points gained at The Hawthorns, West Bromwich Albion are one of the few teams in the EFL with more points earned away than home this season. West Bromwich Albion head to Lancashire unbeaten in nine league games.
Carlisle United v Crewe Alexandra
Crewe Alexandra to win - 6/4
Carlisle United are actually unbeaten in three league games yet they remain rooted to the foot of the League Two table with just 13 points from 17 matches so far. On Saturday they’ll play host to high-flying Crewe Alexandra and we’re firmly expecting an away win at Brunton Park. Crewe Alexandra head to Cumbria unbeaten in eight league games. The Railwaymen have played the division’s top two sides in their last two away league games, if they escape trips to Walsall and Port Vale with their long unbeaten run intact, a trip to Carlisle will not phase Lee Bell’s side.
