EFL Treble Odds - 7/1
- Burnley to win (4/6)
- Hull City to win (11/8)
- Queens Park Rangers to win (11/10)
Burnley v Derby County
Burnley to win - 4/6
Burnley were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Middlesbrough at the weekend but we’re tipping them to get back to winning ways on Tuesday. The Clarets are unbeaten in six league games and are yet to be beaten in the league at Turf Moor this season. Scott Parker’s side boast the division’s best defensive record, conceding just seven goals in their 19 games so far including just three in nine at Turf Moor.
Derby County are the visitors on Tuesday and head to Lancashire possessing one of the worst away records in the EFL. Derby County have won just one league game on the road this season and have earned just six points in ten away league games. The Rams are winless in five league games and their 2-0 defeat at Leeds United at the weekend was their third straight loss.
Hull City v Watford
Hull City to win - 11/8
Hull City have lost six straight league games and are winless in eleven yet there is cause for optimism at the MKM Stadium. New manager Ruben Selles was in the stands at the weekend when Hull City were unfortunate not to get at least a point from their home game against in-form Blackburn Rovers. Play-off chasing Watford are the midweek visitors to Hull and we’re actually backing the hosts to end their long wait for a league win.
Only seven of Watford’s 30 points in the Championship this season have been earned on the road with their form away from Vicarage Road a real cause for concern. The Hornets did not play at the weekend with their trip to Cardiff City postponed. They were far from convincing when held to a goalless draw at home to QPR last time out whilst their last away league game was a 2-2 draw at lowly Plymouth Argyle.
Queens Park Rangers v Oxford United
Queens Park Rangers to win - 11/10
QPR possess one of the worst home records in the Championship, taking just eight points from ten home league games so far. However, they have shown some real signs of improvement in recent weeks and climbed out of the relegation zone with a convincing 3-0 win at home to Norwich City at the weekend. QPR’s first home league win since April helped extend their unbeaten record to four league games.
Oxford United are yet to win away from home in the league this season with their return of two points the joint-worst away record in the Championship. Des Buckingham’s side have lost three straight away games without scoring a single goal. Four games without a win have seen Oxford United slide precariously close to the bottom three and despite grabbing a last-gasp draw at home to Millwall last time out, we’re not expecting them to pose too much of a threat to QPR on Wednesday.
